Pocitos Plaza Hotel

Location is great if you want to be near the beach (which in my case was exactly what I wanted) and close to basic amenities such as transport and shops. Breakfast was varied and some of it changed every day so you get a good selection. Room was a lot larger than you'd expect in most hotels. Basic but super clean and very comfortable bed too.

Staff are OK though not wow in my mind, especially the Reception team that could be a lot better. The cleaning staff and bar/breakfast room staff were superb. Some of the hotel needs a bit of TLC and just some love but I would stay there again for sure.

Great location and very gentle front desk staff (professional and kind, applause to them). Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good.

I stay three nights. Once the room was not properly cleaned by the maid (it looks he/she was in a rush and didn't pay attention to details such as: cups used with liquid were not removed/replaced. Bathtop had a leak, when we took showers the water leaked outside.

Excellent location in a very peaceful neighbourhood of Pocitas which felt very safe. Very close to the Rambla and a bus stop outside the hotel and a grocery store a few feet away. Room was large, beds were comfy, air conditioning and wifi worked very well. Three male receptionists spoke English and were always very helpful. Breakfast and late afternoon snacks were decent. For the area the room rate was good value for money

The rooms are a bit dated and the bathroom was small. Power socket was hidden behind the bed side table on the floor. The curtains were white which did not block off the light. Not too many dining options in the vicinity of the hotel

My stay was great! Breaksfast was fair, even though lacking fruits, location was perfect, near multiple restaurants and a shopping center and the room was very cozy! I would highlight the wifi connection, which was just perfect - I could work with no problems.

The 'fitness center' is very limited, I actually looked forward using the treadmill as it was quite could outside for a run, but it was not in a great condition, I was not able to use it. That was the only downside on my stay.

Good location approx. 5-7 minutes away on foot from the beach, convenience stores, shops, the main avenue all within walking distance. Mini market right next door for necessities. Fabulous room with a large balcony and a great view of the surrounding area, a comfortable bed, and an amazing bathtub! Front desk very friendly and offering great recommendations. Beach towels provided upon request free of charge. A good budget option for short stays, I was very satisfied!

Breakfast could be richer, the selection was very limited (and I am not a picky eater). Afternoon brunch is complimentary, but only offering coffee and a couple pieces of cake - it's a nice gesture, but could definitely use some improvement as well.

the staff was super friendly at all times, everybody was nice and helpful. I needed to print and make some copies of some document at the last minute for a meeting and they helped me right away. the hotel has an amazing breakfast and the rooms are super clean, the rest of the hotel is clean as well. the complementary coffee in the afternoon is a plus. the location is amazing you’re near to PUNTA carretas shopping, have a supermarket a couple of feet away and have public transportation literally half a block away from the hotel. lovely experience 100% recommend

The location and staff are amazing! We traveled in between our stay and the staff was kind enough to hold our luggage until we returned to Montevideo. A big plus is that the hotel is one block away from the Rambla.

The rooms are a bit outdated but it’s great value for money and would stay there again.

-good location -clean room - removable shower head!!!! -free toiletries -the gym on the top floor was nice -enjoyed complementary afternoon tea 17:00-19:00 & flavored water in the lobby -helpful and very nice staff -bus stop in front of the hotel, also a store next to it

-it was a nice stay but not up to European 4 star hotel standards -the breakfast was passable, barely any fruits -you have to move the bed to find sockets -the kettle didn’t work in the room -

The staff is very friendly and can help you with anything you need. The breakfast is also delicious with uruguayan dishes and very sweet lady at the kitchen. The room is big and comfortable with a dining table and also a desk for work. The bathroom has a bathtub which makes some night very relaxing. The hotel deliveries a lot more for the price they charge. Totally worthy.

It was perfect.

Breakfast had many options: sandwich, croissant (regular and sweet), bread, eggs, coffee, tea and fruit salad. I liked the bed and the pillows very much (but my husband thought them to be too soft). The location is great: near the beach, near the park, near bus stops and there's many places to eat around! The staff is super friendly and attentive.

The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work and the bathroom had no windows. The toilet seat was loose and the toilet itself is very low. We could hear the TV from our neighboring room. I didn't like the restaurant chairs: they were too small for an average person to fit comfortably.
