The Bristol Hotel Campbell San Jose

What a FANTASTIC Hotel at an AMAZINGLY low price for what we had🏆! We felt like we were in a posh hotel in England with all the "Royals" in paintings hanging on the walls, + full sized Roman Statue's too! Our 2 - full sized bed - room was spacious, Clean, Quiet, and comfortable too. The bathroom is large, with twin marble countertop sinks, with a separate room for the toilet, (with phone 🤳 too😁). Refrigerator, No microwave, but Nexpresso coffee maker was nice to try. (Regular coffee is better IOHO). This is obviously a older hotel, but super well kept, and a GREAT bargain VERY NICE place to stay for couples!

Continental cold breckfast, but at the price we paid, it was fine.

I forgot to get an ADA room for my elderly mom. The front desk clerk said that we can have it for our first night, but not the second. The front desk clerk went over and above and called the people with the reservation for the ADA room for the second night to see if they needed the special room. They did not need the ADA room and we were able to spend two nights. The front desk clerk went above and beyond! Breakfast had a nice variety and there is a Nepresso machine in the room. Oh and nice hot showers!!!

The finishes in the room were in need of repair. The desk had a big spot where someone put something hot on it and it made the finish discolored. The bathroom floor tiles had a couple of cracks and discoloration. The elevator's brass panel was really stained.

The Bristol hotel is a pleasant departure from the nationwide utilitarian cookie-cuter hotel chains. With colonial decorations and Greek statues, the rooms, passageways, breakfast room, and lobby were a joy to experience. A section of the Berlin wall is displayed, coincidently found across the passage from the Berlin breakfast room! The staff was exceptional, providing excellent service. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

We had minor troubles with partially functional TV remote controls, and a tub that backed up a little.

The Bristol is our go-to place to stay in the area, and we've been there half a dozen times at least. The rooms are very spacious, and the customer service can't be beat. They are always friendly and helpful. We appreciate that they gave us a late check out, as we were attending an event that went very late. Parking is free and always available, and the location always feels safe. They have a nice breakfast, and I love the hotel decor.

Usually the hotel is spotless when we stay. Unfortunately this time, we found several hairs on the bathroom floor from the previous guests, and it didn't look like the bathroom tiles were very clean. (We always do a "room check" of the bed and bathrooms as soon as we arrive at ANY hotel). I'm sure they would have sent someone to clean if we had said something but, we had to drop off our bags and leave within 10 minutes for our event, and we knew we weren't getting back till late, so not a big deal. Plus this is out of the ordinary for the hotel. Hopefully the bathroom floors will be cleaner next time we stay :) Also, we got back really late at night and our keys didn't work anymore for some reason, so that was kind of a drag, but they fixed it quickly.

The property was very clean and well kept. The interior (lobby & room) is quite lovely. They have good parking and also serve breakfast. The room was stocked with all the basic amenities - coffee maker, coffee, mini refrigerator, iron & ironing board and tv. There were lights positioned throughout the room so it was very well lit.

The only drawback that I had was with the signage as it was at ground level and was a little difficult seeing it, from the opposite side of the street, in the afternoon traffic.

It is very well located in less than 4 mins from the highway. About 12 minutes to SJC airport. This hotel is easy to find, it has a good parking lot, and the doors are close to the parking. The parking location is easy and comfortable for anyone with many luggage bags. The reception feels comfortable and cozy, especially during the Christmas season with all the Christmas songs in the reception area. They offered Excellent Hot Chocolate in the evening. The room is very spacious, and the toilet as well. It has two sinks which makes it more comfortable. Check-in and Check our processes were really quick. Almost all of the receptionists are very nice and accommodating. They offer complimentary gift wrapping for 3 gifts. The breakfast is good. Thank you.

Breakfast can have better options because there are very limited options that are repeated every day. They offer complimentary gift wrapping is once regardless of the number of nights and the number of reservations. We stayed longer using another reservation, but we could only get complimentary wrapping for 3 gifts. We cannot blame them for sure, since it is a complimentary nice service after all. The wrapping was excellent and stylish.

Great value! the rooms are spacious, the decor is pretty cool. we brought our dog and they are very dog friendly, plus the room seemed to isolate the rare times our dog did bark and he also couldn’t hear staff vacuuming. They do charge an extra 100 for the dog just fyi.

The rooms were so old fashioned that there were no usb outlets to charge any devices. Keep that in mind when visiting because we assumed they’d have them and then had to go out and buy usb chargers.

I loved the old style ambience and decor, so much nicer than these modern neutral unfeeling places. Very nice to stay there, and it was Nice and quiet. The walls are very thin so you do hear if there's someone noisy in the room next year, I was fortunate I guess as everybody was quiet. Very nice bathroom, sitting area oh and great flatscreen TV and desk. The bed was good but too hard for me I prefer softer memory foam beds, but I think most people prefer the firm ones. Play she's had a really nice feeling for being in the middle of the city.

No cooked breakfast, just your usual cold not very good yogurt hard boiled eggs, fruit cup and packaged breakfast sandwich.

Very spacious hotel with large rooms and double sinks and marble bathroom. Good beds, pillows, lighting etc. hotel is decorated with Empire style paintings and furniture which is eccentric

Jimmy dean sandwiches w microwave are offered as your hot option (yuck, for us). The plain yogurt is better which can be sweetened by raisins, strawberries and granola. Rest is cold cereal and toast. Empire style in a basic breakfast room is very weird!

the value, decor, size of rooms were great

the continental breakfast was disappointing - no bagels, croissants or rolls of any kind - some bread in cellophane wrapping- very disappointing- and a jimmy dean ham - egg muffin - so unhealthy - the tiny tiny bit of fruit was good - but gone instantly - coffee was brewed very week w “coffee mate” creamer on small packs on the side. 8-10Am only - foe business people should begin earlier
