Limelight Hotel Aspen

The Limelight is in an excellent location in downtown Aspen. You can easily walk to restaurants, galleries, nature and hiking. The hotel is modern, warm and well designed. There is artwork everywhere and a sense of fun in the interior design. The room we stayed in was large and included ample storage and closet space, kitchenette with frig and dishes/glasses etc. The bathroom had double sinks, large shower/tub combo. Amenities were also ample: daily water bottles, daily cleaning, every bathroom item you needed, plenty of towels/washcloths. The room was well designed with soft neutral colors spliced with right red accessories, like the pillow. A small sofa with a table to work on was a plus. There were some many outlets that we didn't have trouble finding enough for 2 laptops, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 Airpods and a sound machine. The lobby is large and inviting and breakfast was a large spread with several stations from eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, bagels with lox, pancakes, fruit, yogurt parfaits, lattes, coffee, tea, espresso, hashbrown and so on. One of best breakfasts I've had a hotel.

I know the hotel is trying to be discreet but the entry and front lobby were difficult to find. The sign outside is not apparent so we circled the block twice and had to get out to find it.

Great location. The staff was excellent and helpful. Really a great place to stay. I didn’t try the food, but the margarita was excellent. Two hot tubs made it nice to relax. Walkable to many things. Room was quiet and easy to sleep.

The only thing that was semi annoying was the hot tub takeover of children every day, but it was very limited in the time so it wasn’t too bad. Drinks were served at the pool, but no one to routinely check to take your order; however, we were in the shoulder season. If tou called or went to the bar, they would bring them out to you.

Central location, newly renovated

Only 2 elevators for the entire hotel, no employee elevators. One elevator was out of service the whole time we were there, so the entire hotel (full house) plus their employees shared one elevator. It takes forever! There was a wedding party staying next to our room and used the elevator lobby like their own living room into the wee hours. The hotel did nothing. The kitchen closed earlier than advertised. Went out to get pizza and only to see when we got back that the kitchen made an exception to an older couple and made them food.

Stayed only for one night on the way to Maroon Bells but we wished we could stay more nights! Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was super friendly and helpful, we got a room upgrade free of charge plus they left a bottle of prosecco and cake as a gift since we mentioned it was our anniversary. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a cute fireplace and a balcony with a gas fire pit which was very romantic. The hotel restaurant had very tasty pizzas and the heated pool was just perfect to end the day in. Can't wait to get back!

Do check ahead for parking availability. When we arrive their parking garage was full so we had to park on a side street. The staff was very helpful though and explained that on the weekend parking is free in residential areas so we ended up parking in front of the hotel without paying a single buck. Thank you kind staff :)

Rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. Pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing in the evening. Hotel was conveniently located to everything. Hotel staff did everything to make up for our disappointing welcome and was also very caring when I wasn’t feeling well due to the altitude.

Greeting by front desk was lackluster with no hospitality. Very disappointing for first time to that hotel and Aspen.

This hotel is in a great location, with clean, good-sized rooms, and super-friendly staff. They serve food in a nice common area and had live music on several evenings while we were there. The breakfast was also good with many options and a nice seating area, including outdoor and indoor.

Our one small complaint was that the bed was firmer than we prefer. Otherwise this is a great hotel with no complaints!

Large room and bathroom, nicely decorated. Plenty of storage. Nice kitchenette which we didn't use. Great breakfasts Loved the green juice. Did run out of cream one morning. Great laundry facility which I used a lot. Good location. Enjoyed people/dog-watching from the lounge.

Great selection of breakfast items each morning. Fresh eggs and pastries.

There needs to be a cover installed on the rooftop drain pipe that is directly over the outside patio couch on our 4th floor sun deck. Birds kept building a nest inside the pipe and made a mess each day on the couch. A metal screen over the pipe will allow water to drain and stop the birds from flying overhead and nesting.

Great location. Very clean, nice rooms. Super comfy bed. Good breakfast selection and nice friendly staff at breakfast.

Wait service at the bar was not friendly. Very slow. Barely acknowledged guests after quite some time on multiple occasions. Stopped going here due to awkward nature of staff and chose to go elsewhere for afternoon cocktails before dinner.

We are returning to the Limelight for about the 19th time . Breakfast always great and the new improved decor in the rooms has really upgraded the hotel and made the stay more enjoyable. Staff excellent especially at breakfast time.

Lift was broken for quite a few days.
