Rodeway Inn Orleans - Cape Cod

This is a great base if you like walking. We didn't have a car, so we wanted somewhere that wasn't too far from eating places and shops. There is ginos pizza place(which was excellent) a fish and chip shop, liquor store and supermarket. All within 5 minutes walk. We picked the rodeway because it is near the cape cod rail trail. This is a former rail track that goes right the way up the Cape. Where you can walk or bike ride as far as you like. You can hire bikes in orleans. We used the trail to walk to beautiful lakes and beaches. It was so quiet and peaceful. The rodeway Hotel provides a light breakfast, daily housekeeping and information about places to see. The owner and staff where very polite and helpful. I recommend this hotel and would stop here again.

There wasn't much to not like about the rodeway. Probably the rooms could to with modernising and decorating. While we were there some painting of the outside had begun. If your just looking for a base to stop this place is great. We found our room a decent size and with all the facilities for a pleasant stay.

We loved the pool and the location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean other than a really old AC unit. The free breakfast included cereal, mini muffins, mini bagels, small yoghurt, small coffee and bananas. Get there early to beat the crowd!

The rooms are very outdated could use a makeover, but very clean non the less. The AC unit in our room was musty and had a good amount of mold which was concerning. We were only there for 3 nights and out and about during the day, but we were able to turn the AC off at night and open the windows.

it looks like an old property in the website, but it is indeed a shiny place under the cape cod sun. The blue and white outside well reflects the vacation vibe and a relaxing and appealing atmosphere. The rooms are large and super clean with wonderful amenities! A small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, plenty of lights... etc! Light breakfast available, too. the location is great, too. Walking distance to seafood restaurants and pubs - I recommend the sir cricket for fried oysters, and a nearby ice cream shop after. 10 minutes driving from the famous Nauset beach.

AC doesn’t work - if you happen to come by in cold seasons that will be a problem.

Comfort, cleanliness, little touches with landscaping, clean, friendly owner, tech savvy, location.

Did not have coffee other than in room or a breakfast (e.g. grab and go). However, the room has both a microwave and a refrigerator and it’s very close to stop and shop grocery store, so that was really not an issue. However, it would be nice and I believe the owner is going to look at implementing that in the future.

I have stayed here about 2 dozen times since the early ‘90’s. It is a super convenient location. The updates that have been made are quite nice, although the property is still old. This trip I found fresh paint, an updated bathroom, new carpet and new beds! They are making some nice (much needed) improvements. Plenty of nice hot water and good pressure in the shower.

Blow dryer would only work on one setting (medium) and could not be shut off without unplugging. Someone botched a patch job on the bathroom counter which is too bad on a brand new counter. The platform beds have aluminum sides, so they make a funny bang when you sit down and the mattresses slide around. Being extra polite helps when you need something. TV remote needed to be pointed RIGHT at the button area on the tv to adjust anything. Might just need new batteries.

This hotel is a great location. You can walk to restaurants & great ice cream, hop on the bike path and close to route 6 so easy to get in & out. We did a couple if night which was perfect. I stayed at a fancy hotel by the beach with my 8 year old also this year but think I actually preferred staying at Rodeway. The pools were basically the same, but the ocean at the fancy hotel in South Yarmouth had seaweed near the shore so my son wouldn't go near it - complete waste of money. From this hotel I recommend bringing bikes, parking at the Salt Pond visitors center and cycling down to Coastguard beach - short, fun cycle, gorgeous (non-seaweedy) beach, dont have to deal with parking! Compared to S Yarmouth there's way less traffic here (i.e. if you want to drive to mini golf etc), you can easily get to both the Cape beaches for the amazing sunsets and low tide walks (i.e. other side of Rock Harbor Beach down Dyer Prince Rd), and the Atlantic ones for the waves. The room was nice - it had a little table, a nice big fridge for breakfast/picnic stuff & a microwave. The shower was good. All fine for a motel.

Staff was friendly, accessible, and courtesy. Facility was very clean and comfortable. The facility was a little outdated, but nothing major. Comfortable beds, amenities, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a very nice location, with a grocery store and restaurants right nearby. It was a good place at a good value, and obviously run very efficiently. - I’ve been in “nicer” hotels that weren’t as cozy and clean.

Location was perfect

When I arrived, I needed to use a restroom after driving 3 hours. They said there were no public restrooms and were rude about it. While I knew that I had arrived earlier than my reservation, a request to use a bathroom is not unreasonable.

This is my second stay at Rodeway Inn, Orleans, MA. It is an older motel but it is clean, reasonably priced and perfectly located for access to local Cape Cod attractions. It is even within walking distance to grocery and liquor stores (and The Christmas Tree Shop!). The seasonal employment problem this summer hit the cape hard this summer, but we were fine with the somewhat limited services at the motel.

The pool closes at 8pm and we would have liked to stay longer, but it wasn't a big deal.

The hotel was easy to locate and in a central location. It was a fast and easy check in process. The hotel was very clean and quiet and I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

There could have been a better continental breakfast spread. I think the price could have been slightly better as well, but I know that it was memorial day weekend.
