We were very kindly welcomed. The owner (I believe it was the owner) let us choose between two rooms. We chose the smaller one. The room was clean. I was surprised that it was better equipped than ANY hotel I've stayed in the past. I happened to be in hotels where there was not even a microwave, and here there was not only a microwave and a mini fridge, but also a toaster, wine glasses, wine opener, utensils, mugs + disposable coffee cups. There were also napkins, disposable plates and drinking cups. The bathroom had a hairdryer, towels and extra toilet paper, soaps, shampoo and conditioner. This place really exceeded my expectations. The owner was very nice. We felt welcomed to be there. I also recommend their bar/restaurant. They have delicious food and great service. I hope I will get a chance to go back there soon.

The room was outstanding---just like previous reviews indicated. Price was reasonable, and the added benefit of the adjacent Mark III bar/grill (fresh, nicely prepared food for dinner) was a perk. Note that breakfast isn’t provided, but we enjoyed a great breakfast at Joe’s Café a short distance away from the inn. We will definitely return.

The only downside is the lack of a reception area. We arrived late afternoon on a Friday night. We entered the bar/grill area and told the staff at the restaurant that we wanted to check into our room. We had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to arrive to give us the key to our room. If we arrived when the restaurant wasn’t open, I don’t know what our options would be. When we checked out, we didn’t know who to see, but simply left our key in the room.

The owners went above and beyond to help with all your needs. The on-site restaurant was fantastic. The bed and pillows….amazing.

We had problems with locking our door and the room got very warm on our 2nd night. We never addressed these issues with management as our stay was short. I’m sure they would of took care of it in a timely manner.

Superbly clean room. Half size fridge with freezer was nice to have if needed. All kitchen items one would need for a short stay were available and clean. Bathroom was very modern featuring a vanity mirror with a built in LED around it's rim. My partner was enamered by it. Beach was only a 7 minute drive away utilizing the thoroughfare that the Inn is situated on so that was also nice.

For a suite, the bedroom was small and so was the shower. 1 person could barely turn around. Only 1 towel available so we used one of our own as a back up. I am sure staff would have given a second if we requested so I can't really take away for that. Just noted. Also there isn't really an office of any kind that provides any service. You can call over to the adjoining restaurant/bar to find staff to help you but I feel things would be easier to take care of for both parties with a designated office space or lobby.

This is a 10 room roadside motel. I wasn't expecting much, but the room was recently renovated inside (not exactly sure how long ago). The manager/owner? was accomodating as our Booking confirmation never made it to him, but he had a room open for us anyway. Close to downtown St. Joes, but will certainly need a car to get there.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking, but the room was clean and we got a good rate.

There was no breakfast included; however, we had plans to meet other people in the area. It was very quiet and very clean and in a perfect location. This met our needs perfectly.

The bathtub did not have any mat or grab bars to prevent falls. Since, we are older that is a big concern. But, we remedy the situation by buying a mat. We were very pleased overall.

Convenient, quiet, adequate. Very clean, nice pillows, easy phone charger on the night stand. Able to do a late check-in.

Windows that open so that a cross breeze of air could get in. Room was stuffy and required continually running the air conditioner and dehumidifier to keep a decent temp. Beds were also a little soft.

quaint little refurbished and redesigned locally owned motel. Bob was great. Rooms were super clean and Fresh.

our suite was perfect even had a little kitchen. The air conditioner unit isn’t quite big enough for the space though so not quite cool enough. A simple fix might be a fan on a stand blowing the cool air out towards the bedroom.

Good location for the price, very close to St. Joe and Benton Harbor. My wife was skeptical when we arrived, but it was a very nice hotel and very clean. Don't let the outside fool you, its a great hotel.

We were late arrival (9pm local), and had to pay by going into the attached restaurant. It was unorthodox, but not terrible. PS. The attached restaurant does not negatively affect your stay (we ate there twice ;))

The fridge size was a great surprise. The comfort was excellent. My husband slept like a baby.

It’s a little secluded but quiet. Not far from, or out of the way from other attractions. The value was worth the seclusion.
