Great location and the staff was very helpful. The hotel had a lot of charm and the feel of a hotel from the 20's or 30's.

The issue with the Hotel St. Francis is what actually made it attractive to me. It was comfortable but had a vibe from the past. If you are looking for an ultra modern facility this is not your best bet. The fact you had to step up to enter the bathroom took some adjustment on our part. Don't get me wrong we had wi-fi and all but the drawing power of the Hotel St Francis is it's charm and feel of a stay in the past. The in house restaurant is also top notch and Café Pasqual is right across the street!

This is an old, stately boutique hotel with understated class in the very heart of old Santa Fe. The hotel has its own private, valet-managed parking lot (with a supplemental fee) - park your vehicle and walk "everywhere". The rooms are charming.

Being an older hotel, you can get some boards creaking (loudly!) as people walk to-and-fro above you. Similarly, hall noises will carry through the old, thin doors. I noticed this on this trip because a lady with a small yappy dog was on my floor, and I knew every single time they went out.

History of the hotel was appreciated. Amazingly clean considering the hotel is pet friendly. Housekeeping was very attentive to our needs.

1) improve response time to guest’s request. 2) The air vent located on wall and not the ceiling or floor blows air straight onto the guest while in bed. Had to turn it off in the middle of the night and suffocate. 3) outside noise from tour buses and boom box base from car stereos was intolerable. Not the hotel’s fault but suggest that the hotelier business collectively vote and pass a noise free ordinance for “boom box base car stereos” within a six block radius of the plaza for the comfort of ALL visitors and residents.

We changed our plane reservations for our New Mexico vacation and unexpectedly needed a hotel room in Santa Fe for one night. We chose the Hotel St. Francis and were very happy we did. The hotel is well located, a little over a block from the Santa Fe Plaza, in the heart of the retail and resturant area. We were able to check in an hour early and parked in the hotel lot next door (parking is included in the resort fee). We were checked in by the concierge, who was helpful and efficient. The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the lobby and rooms are elegant and distinctive, decorated in an understated Southwestern style. All in all, a great way to start our vacation - thank you, Hotel St. Francis !

Suggestion: the basin was in the main room, separate from bath; there was a light over it, but it was rather dim, which made putting on make-up, contact lens etc a bit challenging. A brighter light setting or a retractable make up mirror would help.

The location is wonderful; blocks from the plaza. The lobby esthetics were lovely; lighting inviting; service personnel cordial. The room was a cozy corner with lots of windows. The bed was comfy with lovely sheets. The coffee service in the lobby in the morning was a nice surprise.

The carpeting in the room was laid over damaged flooring…you could feel the holes and cracks under your feet and the creaking was very distracting. Very disappointing as there seemed to be much care in the overall remodel of the facility.

The location of the property is wonderful. There was quite a bit to see and do within walking distance. Valet is included in the the $25 daily fee, which takes away the stress of Santa Fe parking. The room was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.

There was only one tiny mirror and sink in the room. It was difficult for more than one person to get ready at a time. The lobby was stark and quiet.

Location is fantastic. On our round trip in the US we stayed twice and experienced two different rooms. I did not expect a queen size bed for the first sojourn but something happened on booking.com plateform. But the room was cute with a window on the street. Second room experience we did not like, that room smelled of cigarette and the view was horrendous and opening the window to air it was not really an option. We were fortunately only staying one night. The receptionist told me the rain gives the room that smell… hum… sure… The bar has fantastic cocktails and the hotel defo has an atmosphere.

I forgot my travel Philips electric toothbrush with its carrying case and all and it apparently vanished in thin air as no one ever returned to me (I declared its loss the evening of our departure, when unpacking at the next destination, and followed up) The second room we stayed in smelled and had an awful view

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival they send us a bottle of Prosecco to the room, because we were celebrating a birthday. Very thoughtful. The rooms are a little small, basic but clean. The hotel itself is beautiful with a bar, restaurant and wine tasting room.

The service at the bar was very inconsistent. Some days they were excellent, others not so much.

location, Nice hall, the bar has some very nice cocktails.

the rooms are very small, we stayed in two different one. I am sure I asked booking.com for a king size bed I. the first sojourn appart from the queen size bed was small but functional with a window on the street. The second bedroom for the second stay the window was opening on a sort of roof landing where people must escape to smoke and the bedroom smelled of cigarette and/or mold I had a hard time breathing and opening the window on air con engines was not optimal. I forgot my electric Philips travel toothbrush and its case and although I immediately joined the hotel when I realised it (on arriving at my next destination) I never retrieved it. someone must have found it though.

Initially the room that we were given didn't get much sunlight. The second room was the same but on a different floor. The third time was the charm. The room cost cost about $40 more a night but was worth it. The staff was very accommodating about helping us find our perfect room!

The down comforters were too warm for us, so it would be nice to have a lighter blanket available in the room when needed. The Gruet tasting room personnel (2 different people) were kind of grumpy. They had legitimate reasons for not seating us but didn't need to be so brusque about it.
