Hotel Ithaca

Nice location! Right next to Ithaca Commons, and walking distance to Ithaca Falls. The front desk staff was excellent, (especially Heather). The restaurant food was good, we ate there our first dinner and breakfast the following day.

There was a wedding there over the weekend, and the people in the next room were loud when they went in their room at 3:30am, and woke us up our first night. Second day, we waited to be seated for breakfast at the restaurant, and we finally left and ate elsewhere, after no-one came to seat us, it wasn't busy, just short on staff.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly, very welcoming and helpful. I used their airport shuttle and the gentleman that drove it was exceptional. I cant remember if he said his name was Joe but he did say he was in sales and was just assisting with driving the shuttle that day He has a great sense of humor and took us on the scenic route from the airport pointing out all the landmarks in an interesting dialog that had all the passengers laughing all the way. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the onsite restaurant was amazing and the waitress was really nice and welcoming.

The only thing I didn't like was that the hotel shuttle was not available for very early morning airport drop offs because they said they were short staffed so we had to call a taxi.

Manager in the bar/restaurant from Jamaica (sorry forgot his name) treated my wife and I like family. He made our trip. Also, the woman cleaning the 4th floor on the south tower was helpful and friendly.

I appreciate the late check out, but if you had the option to purchase a few additional hours it would be very helpful. We were attending a swimming competition, Sunday was check out, we left at 1pm with nowhere to go for 4 hours. Others, staying at a different hotel, were able to purchase a day room rate and stay in their rooms until 4pm. Just a suggestion, I love your hotel.

We were in town for our daughters graduation at Ithaca College. Check-in was very quick and smooth. We have stayed at Hotel Ithaca before, and have always had a great experience. We stayed in the North Tower on this stay and it was great; no complaints. The hotel and rooms are very clean, plenty of towels, etc. and the location downtown is perfect!

We did notice that a couple rooms requested room service, and there food trays stayed outside their rooms for hours. That was a little bit of a turn off as old food was just sitting in the hall on the trays.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and got me a better room when I extended my stay. The location is good, close to the center with most of the restaurants in Ithaca. The free coffee in the lobby was appreciated.

The coffee machine in the room was very difficult to get to work. I followed the instructions carefully and it did not work. I am quite ok that your room is not cleaned every day. I think it can be disturbing and unnecessary. However, I was never informed about the hotel's cleaning policy....

Staff great! Room clean and comfortable. Despite what I didn't like, we will definitely stay here again. We live out of state and have a child at the college up South Hill. Your hotel is becoming our resting place between long drives. Peak time rates are beyond our budget here, so we stay when rates are reasonable for us. Thank you for your wonderful staff, they are very welcoming.

The in-house restaurant breakfast was not good at all. The staff was nice but the food was a disaster as well as a large bug floating in the coffee ( I think it came from the carafe). I've never left a served breakfast uneaten, but it was that bad. We didn't complain though because the server was working so hard and was so kind. This will not hinder our return however. We will simply eat in town.

I booked the hotel at the last minute (about one hour before) so it was a little more expensive, but still a good price. I didn't expect much from it. However, it was amazing. The room I got was very large, clean and extremely comfortable. I was so pleased to find such a great hotel at the last minute. I would have loved to stay another night but we had to travel on. The free parking, the very nice receptionist (Angel) and the comfort of the room, they were all 5-star worth.

The staff! I stayed for an extended period and from the Manager Mari to front office staff June and Angela and Jessica and Chrissy and Douglas all treated me exceptionally well. I really felt bad leaving the place as they were like family to me. Couldn’t recommend the staff, the location, the food and cleanliness more! It was exceptional.

Nothing really.

The room was very clean- floor was hardwood, not carpet, which is always a plus! The bathroom stall shower had own of those curved doors for extra room (unlike some hotels which have those flimsy curtains that touch your skin, ew. The water pressure was wonderful. Our room was near the elevator but we could barely hear the other guests. And the a/c was cranking out strong, keeping the room cool while it was 95 degrees outside! Fantastic location close to great restaurants and the Ithaca Commons.... will definitely return for another Ithaca visit!

Location, access to Cornell University, cleanliness

The buffet breakfasts for Cornell University graduation were very basic and could have been better. Parking was very limited or even unavailable at night due to hotel being full for commencement weekend. Room prices were exorbitant but I guess that's to be expected for that weekend.
