Phoenicia Lodge

Fantastic location, with cute lodges and lots of amenities. Outside of the lodge are picknick tables and hammocks, a fireplace, a bbq and volleyball net. In the evening there were fireflies, which made the place look magical. We had a lovely time, hiking and swimming. The owners were very friendly and gave lots of good advice on where to go, which was much appreciated. The lodge was very clean, and had everything we needed. We could borrow dvd's and books from the owners, we thought that was a nice touch. All in all a lovely place, wish we could have stayed longer.

The wifi is a bit slow, but with a bit of patience you'll get everywhere. Not really a bad thing but good to know if you go there: there is no mobile reception, so if you have to log in with an sms-code, you cannot do that here.

I liked the cabin that booking .com didn't arrange for us, the small room was more like a motel room with tight shower and toilet, not good for two day stay maybe overnight the property was beautiful with the very tall trees and porch

As I said above the room that was arranged maybe for an overnight trucker, but the lodges owner arranged for us a cabin which cost more, but it was needed

This is a very cute, rustic hotel that will make a great base of operations for Catskills hiking, adventuring etc. 30 minutes from everything, comfortable & clean. Any superlatives pale in comparison to what I would say about the owner/operators. They are an amazing couple, take time to talk to everyone, and feel like they get to know all of their guests. Their place truly becomes a home away from home.

The rooms are very clean and cozy with plenty of complimentary toiletries for your stay and even have a mini fridge. They offer a very nice variety for the included continental breakfast. The owners Jennifer and Maureen were super friendly and very helpful with ideas of where to eat,etc. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Definitely plan on staying here again.

Booked our "room" through Booking.com and main picture they use is deceiving. The main picture that they use is of one of the cottages there which is not what our "room"was. Although we loved our room,the main picture should reflect what they are advertising which is just a room in the lodge part not your own separate cottage which is what we originally thought we were getting based upon the posted picture. Although description says room the photo should be changed from a cottage to a picture of the lodge so its more clear you are renting just a room and to avoid disappointment.

The location was close to town, restaurants and the water. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, fresh muffins/coffee cake, yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea. The grounds were also very comfortable, hammocks to relax in and yard games to keep us entertained!

I've never been a fan of a late check in, 4pm here, but understand that there is are schedules to keep.

The Phoenicia is a perfect location for local ski places, hiking, and great food. The owners are extremely personable and helpful. Plus, they have an amazing movie selection. I also appreciated the wifi and cable service.

We had one of their smallest rooms -- and it is small. Worked for us, but others may feel cramped. Also, the walls are thin and you can hear others' convos. At night, however, it's very quiet.

The lodge was amazing. The owners were really helpful, told us about an amazing swimming spot near by which was great fun. Property had everything you needed. Really relaxed atmosphere and a lovely continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The cabin were cozy, comfortable, quiet, rustic and simple. A variety of choices for a continental breakfast was offered with fresh baked muffins as their signature. really delicious. The owners were very pleasant, thoughtful and helpful. In the office were two sweet greeter pups, books to borrow, coffee, and chocolates. The Phoenicia Lodge fit our unpretentious style perfectly. This pace was as great find.

Great location, close to everything and great, friendly staff! Breakfast provided was fresh and baked goods were delicious!

The shower was super small. Needed an outlet by the bed to power up our phone.

This was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. The lodge is rustic but beautiful and cozy and clean. The location is perfect, walking distance to the river for fishing and close proximity to surrounding towns like Woodstock. The owners are very nice and friendly they had coffee/tea and breakfast items in the lobby every morning. Great place and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
