Comfort Inn PA Turnpike - I-81

It was in a nice quiet location. Near pretty much anything you need. It was also nice and clean.

Some of the facilities needed updated or repaired. The main elevator for example needed new carpet. The room it self was fine. However there was a lot of unused space. The room had 2 beds but only one end table. Which was in the middle of the beds. There was also a lot of empty space between the tv and bathroom. Maybe a bench could have been used there. The pool was small. You get more than 6 people in it and it felt crowded. Also, the towels at the pool might as well have been face wash clothes, they were so small. But it was clean.

The breakfast was great and the worker was personally helpful to all. I arrived late at night and the front desk staff came with me to my room to show me how to use the curtains. This is my third time at this Comfort Inn and it is consistently predictable in top knot h service and responsiveness. I appreciate the bedding being simple and all washable, but quite comfortable. I love the absence of tacky rugs on the floor the shower was easily accessible. Other Comfort Inns fail to thrill, but Shady Lane continues to give big to customer service.

We were only there a short time, but the hotel lobby and our room was clean,the staff was friendly, and it's located right off I-81, and it's about 45 minutes from Hershey Park and Stadium. The price was also $90 less than staying in Hershey, which was a big selling point and free breakfast!

The only thing was that there was mold on the ceiling in the shower. It's not a big deal. But they definitely should look into getting more powerful fans for the bathrooms for that reason. Other than that, our stay was great!

We stay here often when visiting family, even though we could stay with family. This our favorite hotel because everything is perfect, every time, without exception. It is the best part of our trip. We got in the area early and callled for an early check-in, no problem, they had a room ready for us. The rooms are always clean and the beds are the absolute best. We'll surely be back again soon.

Breakfast was good but I like bacon! Won't stop me from coming though.

I found the front desk agent very personable and helpful. I needed assistance with my cell phone and she figured it out for me. In addition, I needed help as a vending machine was not working. She helped me access water. I believe her name was Lexi. She helped me find an instructional video to get my phone up and running again. Very kind.

The first-floor hallway to room 114 smelled like it was recently painted. The room was clean and in good condition. The walk-in shower was appreciated. Check in and out was fine, with pleasant people at the reception desk. We enjoyed the fact the hotel is in a small, college type town with some decent restaurants within easy driving distances.

We have no complaints. Probably stay there again, next year. (On our way from FL to home)

Clean! Thats my number one. Then, i was thankful for the comfy beds all done in white. It was a nice room equipped with an ac unit and thermostat that worked correctly.. always a plus. Check in was easy. Staff was courteous. Cleaning maid was very cordial as we were leaving.. asking us if everything was to our satifaction, to which we answered "yes". The coffee in the breakfast area was delicious.

The refrigerator froze my lemonade. The hours for the "continental" breakfast (which was touted by staff to now include eggs and sausage, btw) was from 6am - 10am. We slept in and went down for morning sustenance at 9:30am where we found the hot food pans empty. The muffins looked small, hard, and sticky.. I only saw yogurt or cereal as viable options..but luckily i wasn't too hungry anyway. I will say the coffee was really actually good. My daughter and i each had two cups.. but it sure would have been nicer in a sturdier (ceramic/stoneware) mug, considering i think i paid like 175.00 for one night.

The towels. Housekeeping didn’t supply the right towels or the right amount. Also it doesn’t make sense to put a full length mirror and no lighting or outlets near near by . It would have been more helpful this way two people can get ready at the same time.

exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The room had all the amenities we needed: hairdryer, iron, ironing board, plenty of outlets and USB outlets. Comfortable beds and recliner in room.

much easier to find with a map/GPS in the dark. The turn off of Route 11 is at a veterinarian. The comfort inn sign is not lit at this corner. (Ref. a previous review) The bathroom was clean and very large but there were not extra towels, facial tissue ran out, and the lighting was not very bright. (But those are minor compared to our overall stay being very good!)

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Nice soft pillow which is something that is a must for me. The heater/air con worked flawlessly and very quickly came up with the selected temperature. And it was quiet! No noisy fan. So, I had a very restful sleep. The breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel in years --- especially during the COVID situation. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Carlisle.

I really have nothing negative to say about this hotel.
