Hamilton Village Inn

Clean, super close to historic places and only 17 minutes away from the downtown Newport!

Had no hair dryer or iron press. Usually these things are available in hotels. But I think maybe because it is an inn and lower range. The receptionist was ok, just maybe could have smiled more .. still she was helpful but I felt a bit strange, maybe I am spoilt by hospitality in other contorted I got hahaha Overall we have no complains but some things were so natural and yet the staff forgot which was a little strange to me. But like I said it’s a great value for the money you pay and super - super close to everything you want to see in the historic town!

This is a classic old school motel. If you’re looking for a Holiday Inn, this isn’t that. But it’s superb at what it is. It was clean, staff were super helpful, it’s cute, quiet, and tucked out of the way in an adorable little town that also happens to be close enough to the beach but not so close that it costs a bazillion dollars. Get a second floor room if you can, they have cute little balconies overlooking the woods behind the building. It was great to sit outside and drink my coffee in the morning. Easy, peasy, and perfect for what we needed.

Nothing wrong here, it was exactly what we were looking for.

The room had everything I needed and it was very clean! The air conditioning was already on when I arrived, and everything was ready for me when I checked in. The sheets, towels and the kitchenette area were clean and stocked with enough of everything for me!

There wasn't drinking water readily available. I would have liked to see at least a vending machine, but there was only an ice machine. The last note was the lighting situation, the light switches turned the entire plugs on and off.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel, It was perfect for myself and my friends I was traveling with (3 groups). We were in town to see a football game at URI Collage. The Location was great, The price - value was amazing through Booking.com, my room was clean and equipped with everything I needed. The rooms were huge! Bed was very comfortable, sheets were soft, Bathroom fine, water pressure great, I loved the place! I hope to book and stay there again in the future.

It is not what I didn't like ( didn't care) but my only comment would be is that the Hotel was very dated and old, But again it did not matter or effect my stay in any way.

The room was very clean and enough space for the 3 of us. I like the way the corners of the room were used efficiently for shelving and a place to hang clothes or jackets. We checked in late and left early in the morning. There was not a staff person available at the front desk when I was checking out so I left the key at the desk. The air conditioner worked well and was relieved it was not one of the huge older ones that are noisy all night. I didn't see the info for the free Wifi so we didn't use it, which was fine since we needed a break anyway. I liked the kitchenette area, We only used the fridge.

The room was spacious, we were 3 older woman traveling together with lots of stuff! The room was exceptionally clean and smelled very good. It was nice walking in to an air conditioned room. The shower was hot with lots of pressure.

The bed was not as comfortable as some hotels I've stayed at, and the pillows were not the best. Wished I had my own pillow from home. Wish they provided a hand held shower they are very convenient to have. I thought the fridge could've been a little bigger then a dorm sized one.

The location is beautiful! Very quiet and accommodating. I enjoyed my 5 week stay here and would choose this Inn to stay at in the future.

Be aware, this location is close to the water and the room can feel damp. A small candle helped burn off this dampness and righted the room quickly. This is a common problem for Oceanside vacation spots.

The bed was very comfortable. We found the room and bathroom very clean. It was a good price and a good location for attending a wedding on Goat Island. We would stay again if needed. Management was pleasant.

The bathroom around the tub needs new chalking but other than that it was really nice.

Staff was great, rooms were clean, there were security cameras everywhere outside and the parking lot was well lit, we traveled with a large center console boat so the cameras and lighting were a great piece of mind while sleeping.

For us fishing out of point judith it was a little more travel time than we would have liked, but there was nothing available closer. 27 mins to point judith / Galilee marina.

Close to town, friendly staff We found this hotel last year and never looked back! We even became very fond of Kim who is the housekeeper and know everything about the town, and is always accommodating. Going back again sooon.

Honestly,there is nothing that I Did not like. If i was unhappy, I would go to Linda or BJ, and they would take care of it!
