Hampton Inn West Valley Salt Lake City

We stayed in 7 hotels in 9 days traveling from SLC to Moab and through Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and back to SLC to fly home. This hotel was the absolute cleanest hotel we stayed in our entire time and the breakfast was delicious. Check in and out was fast and easy. Couldn’t ask for better customer service from all staff including housekeeping. Excellent and will stay again if ever in the area.

The room was spacious and comfortable

Checking in was not very good. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived!!!. Another couple had been waiting 15-20 minutes before us, who where calling and trying to get someone to help.after waiting another 15 minutes a person from sales came out. She finally could book 1st couple in then she had to find a person in housekeeping to give her list of rooms that were ready but not in system. We finally were booked in...I have to give credit to the young girl who stepped up to do a job she was not hire for.I think her name was Jeanna? not sure. She went out of her way to help. Management should do something about their front desk personnel!

Neat and clean overall. Room was very comfortable, including the bed. Shower was really nice as well.

Overall a very nice place. But 2 disappointments: 1) unable to use the Hilton Honors app to check in, and we didn't arrive until 1:00 a.m. and were exhausted; 2) we got down for breakfast at 10 minutes after 9:00 and it was already all closed up with not a soul in sight to inquire about it. They make a big deal about breakfast being included, but they don't try to accommodate.

i reserved a room on the first floor next to exit and they put me on the second floor next to stairs and I have a hard time walking with pain in my spine and legs maybe next time i will get what I ask for.

Our room blinds did not go up and they only said a part had been ordered. no suggestions were offered as to how to help us. The ice machines were not working and again no help was offered the breakfast was good and a good s lectionary but often ended earlier than posted.

I loved the shower very much and the bad was very nice

I used booking. Com and when I used booking.com it said that I did not need a credit card to book the room which was great however when I went to the hotel she asked me for the credit card that I used on the account which I didn't and since I didn't have enough funds on any card of mine at the time it made a major inconvenience because she would not take cash so I had to waste another $20 to take a Lyft ride to a 7-Eleven in order to load funds on a credit card so I could check in. Very inconvenient. Did not eventually even get into the room until over at past 3 a.m. so it was pretty shocking to go through that and lose out on half at nights worth of paid for hotel stay

the only thing I didn’t like is that you have to pay extra to be able to connect to the internet! I think that should be included in it

The front desk employee was very strange and asked us to 'go away' while she looked to resolve our issue with the hot water. It turns out the hot water takes nearly 10 minutes to heat up. She never called us back, we just figured it out. That was quite a bit of water wastage.

Good rooms and staff. At breakfast they provided a vegetarian option for my family. Very nice service.

Water for the tea was not hot enough.
