Very comfortable room and well lit. Nice king size bed. Very nice room furnishings. Good location. Very convenient to local attractions and shopping. You could actually walk to most things if you wanted to. We only drove to the nature reserve , the marina and Wallops Island, other than that everything else was within walking distance. Staff was cordial and friendly. Room was very clean overall even under bed and furniture. There are plenty of places to rent bikes, scooters and golf carts if you don't want to take your car. We walked as much as possible to avoid loosing our parking space at the hotel.

Room had some minor maintenance issues. Peeling paint on some wood trim around bathroom door, spots on bathroom wall and carpet although vacuumed well was in need of a good steam cleaning. Parking lot is gravel and there is not really enough parking for everyone when the hotel is full. Ceiling in need of repair at the sink areas off the main bedroom.

Chincoteague Inn saved us! We ended up checking in a day early because the hotel at the previous stop on our road trip was unsafe to stay in, and they were around in the evening and had a vacancy and were able to check us in. The hotel is in a great location, plenty of parking and walkable to a lot of local amenities. It's about a 10 minute drive to the harbor or Assateague Island. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

The sink was in the regular room and not in the bathroom, which makes it loud if it's needed in the middle of the night.

Best parts of staying here for us is the 'blue gazebo' in back -it's always ready to bring in a batch of steamed crabs to eat, and supplies for cleaning up the mess afterwards!

Sink had the same problems it had last year (we always stay in the same room)-stopper is broken, knob for turning water off and on is almost unusable. Staying for a week, this becomes really tiresome. Toilet overflowed the first morning.

Room was clean. The cleaning ladies always made sure we had fresh towels each day, and even stopped us on our way out each morning to see if we had any special requests. They were pretty remarkable!! There was one girl in particular, and I wish I knew her name, she was on the third floor with a nose ring I think, blondish hair. She was seriously the best!!!

Those stairs are killer 😂. However I needed the exercise. Honestly I have nothing to complain about.

Classic 3 story plantation style motel located in the heart of Chincoteague. It is a two star with basic amenities. Beds were average but comfortable, very clean and had standard amenities. Very friendly staff and close to everything.

Pool area needs some attention. New grout and paint needed. No elevator so request ground floor if handicapped.

We chose the Chincoteague Inn Motel because of its central location in town and ease of travel to the beach and other attractions nearby. Our room was very clean. The facility does not offer free continental breakfast but does have a screen house for picnics outdoors (with purchased food) -- needed due to the very buggy conditions in the summer! The seasonal outdoor pool was a welcome way to cool off after a day of exploring.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Soft clean sheets, comforter and towels as well as quality complimentary toiletries.

My only criticism is that as someone with a physical disability, when I asked for a first floor room so I wouldn’t have to struggle up the stairs, I was told the first floor rooms were premium rooms and I’d have to pay Moore. Not sure where that falls under federal ADA laws but I didn’t argue and just climbed the three flights of stairs.

Attractive little village. Visited there to see the Chincoteague ponies at the nearby National Seashore, just a short drive away. Had dinner at Maria’s—excellent Italian food. We had lasagna and chicken parmigiana. Be sure to take binoculars for pony viewing. They are out in the marshes, away from the road.

Operating shower was a little tricky, but staff was more than helpful. A tip: if you walk any of the trails/boardwalks in the Chincoteague park, be sure to use plenty of insect repellent before you go. We went in late May and came out covered with mosquito bites.

The motel was a perfect location to a drugstore, a coffee shop and a Sunsations store. It was convenient to Wallops Island, Chincoteague Park, (lighthouse), hiking trails, restaurants.

For August: The Chincoteague museum was closed, the Refuge museum was closed, the 3 mile loop car trail in the park was closed. We tried to make reservations some restaurants were closed for Tuesday's, alot were not open. We had to wait until 7:30-8:00 PM to eat. We got lucky and found Ropewalk - Excellent Food, atmosphere.
