Sleep Inn & Suites Virginia Horse Center

Pool was cooler with a pre-shower at the pool areal.Hot tub very nice and clear water. Good breakfast. Tasty coffee available 24/7. Snacks and fruit in lobby. Staff very helpful and friendly. Clean, spacious rooms, fresh scented with lovely decor in lobby and rooms. Locking exterior doors open with cards that worked every time they were used. Plenty of parking and clean lot. Nice landscaping. Location is great with stores, restaurants, and local attractions.. I will stay here again when in the area to visit family.

Beautiful views but our room just had trees blocking any view and a backhoe. Not really a big deal just an observation. Our room was across from laundry so at 8 AM we heard bags being shook open, dryers and washers going, and employee discussing workday. But note we did ask for 1st floor, near pool and that room accomplished those requests. Beds were just good, not great ss far as comfort. Pillows were all 4 too soft for my liking. Regardless of the things that we did not like, the value was there and the disadvantages did not outweigh the advantages.

Elise who checked us in the first nite saw that several rooms were booked for members of our family. She placed us all in rooms adjacent to one another which also had a small balcony reception area in front of our rooms. This made it very comfortable to relax and talk as a group or share a celebratory snack. We couldn't have asked for better accomadations. The friendly and welcoming first impression made the entire stay memorable. Our Granddaughters graduation from Washington and Lee will be remembered as a great family gathering enhanced by our accomadations

To be honest our expectations were not very high for the quality and value of this hotel during a time of low vacancy in the area. We moved hotels to the Sleep Inn & Suites Virginia Horse Center during our second night's stay due to dissatisfaction with our initial hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities, cleanliness, and comfort at this hotel. We were also traveling with a small dog. Not only was this hotel pet friendly, the additional fee was modest, they offered a sweet treat for our pet with a welcome letter, and the hotel did not smell/look like most pet friendly locations. It was very well maintained. We will definitely make this hotel our first choice during our next visit to the area.

Breakfast was very good…liked that it ran a bit later than most. Location was easy in and out. Pet friendly was a HUGE plus!!! Staff was very friendly…clean and comfortable rooms. Was so happy to have a small freezer for my ice packs. Also happy to have luggage carrier…a lot a nice little extras that I did not expect.

Had a problem with the shower curtain and had to mop up floor. Luckily plenty of towels available. Wished there was chocolate milk for breakfast.

Exceeded our expectations. Clean rooms, no musty smells. Real breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle maker,cereal, yogurt and more. Has a pool and hot tub. Has complimentary tea and coffee and snacks available for free as well as complimentary items you may have forgotten such as toothbrush, razor and such.

The bed was a little hard for my liking.

comfortable, has a pool, great coffee, good parking, the luggage carts were right where we needed them, smooth check in process.

I felt like the staff had a lot going on in the morning when we were trying to get breakfast and then check out. The wall dividing the bathroom and room was paper thin- I could easily hear everyone showering.

Great breakfast staff! The woman who attended the cafeteria was supper friendly and helpful. All my needs were met with extra feeling of being welcome and appreciated. Great location of surrounding areas.

Perhaps a little worn as far as general amenities but overall fine.

Grout needs a bit of cleaning in the bathroom. But it's pretty minor compared to how clean and pleasant the room was.

Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Loved the 4th July Celebration Tree (repurposed Christmas tree)

Nothing I didn't like - it's a Sleep Inn not the Ritz Carlton so it's a bit tired around the edges but the team made it a warm and welcoming experience

The pool was great and small, but the excellent Staff was friendly. hotel was close to VA Safria and food.

The bed hurt my back. However, the beds worked for everyone else. I have back problems. The hotel is older but still looks good.
