Antelope Valley Wineries and Palmdale, California

Updated Aug 2, 2023

The Antelope Valley is located north of Los Angeles on the eastern slope of the San Gabriel Mountains at the edge of the Mojave Desert. The valley’s long growing season of hot days and cool nights makes it an excellent region for wine production. There are two wineries in the Antelope Valley, both of which are located in the city of Lancaster. The desert city of Palmdale is just a few miles north of Lancaster, and many of the hotels in Antelope Valley are also located in Palmdale.

The Antelope Valley Winery in Lancaster collects grapes from their estate vineyards and other valley vineyards to produce reds, whites, sweet wines, and sparkling wines. This family-owned winery has been producing wine from Antelope Valley grapes since 1980.

The Cameo Ranch and Winery has a winery in Lancaster and a wine tasting room in Littlerock, located just east of Palmdale and Lancaster. The different wine labels currently available from Antelope Valley Winery and Cameo Ranch and Winery can be enjoyed in several of the restaurants and hotels in Antelope Valley.
