Record Year for Yellowstone Park Tourism

Travel Files. — By on September 15, 2009

Yellowstone park, probably the most famous and beloved of all of America’s national parks, is having a record year for tourism in 2009.

Park officials estimate that over 2.6 million people have visited the park between January and July of this year. This rise in interest in the park is attributed to lower gas prices, and a little bit to the economic recession. Common thought is that since the cost of lodging at Yellowstone spans a wide range, travelers on any budget can plan a trip that meets their needs.
