By Rease Kirchner If you missed Part One of this story, you should read that first so you won’t be lost. The chaos continues in part 2. Miami laughs in my face When I got off the plane, I rushed to find my poor dog. I had 3 hours to make it through customs, figure [...]
Wine Tasting at Fierro Hotel in Buenos Aires
By Rease Kirchner I recently attended a wine tasting at the Fierro Hotel in Buenos Aires. It was a lovely experience; a small affair in a classy hotel that introduced me to some very interesting new wines as well as spoiled me with some delectable snacks. I had expected the wine tasting to be a [...]
Unique Photography Experience With Foto Ruta in Buenos Aires
By Rease Kirchner A while ago I met Becky Hayes when I visited the Spanish school she works for, Expanish. Argentine Medical Exams: Unexplained Coins, Angry Clam Chairs and Shin Viewings
The country of Argentina requires you to jump through a lot of hoops to become a legal employee. Someday, when I am holding my Work Visa in my hands, I will have the energy to write about all of them. For now, however, I’d like to just tell you about the medical exams (examenes preocupacionales) aka 2 of the weirdest hours in my life.

All Dogs Go To The Suburbs
When I studied abroad in Mendoza, Argentina in 2006, the city was swarming with dogs. Every size, breed and color could be found wandering the streets. I quickly learned that families had simply kicked their pets out and left them to fend for themselves. This broke my heart, but I tried my best to remember that I was 8.000 miles from home and could do nothing for them.
