Nags Head Hotel

Staff went above and beyond, super helpful and accommodating THE BED - due to work I've stayed in over 50 hotels. This has got to be the best bed I've ever slept in. Cleanliness - super clean, couldn't even fault the shard bathroom

The only 2 slightly annoying things: 1)No power outlet near bed. bedside lamp had to be plugged in at sink 2) No towel rack near the sink for face cloth and no towel rack so towel could dry inbetween uses Hooks to hang wet towels so they can dry Hook to hang face cloth near the sink

Check in was super easy with an excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient receptionist who couldn't do enough for us. We were escorted to the room rather than just given directions, and had all facilities explained well. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were in very close proximity to the room. The showers were clean and hot with excellent pressure. We loved the quirky little features of this hotel and the attention to detail. We didn't use the bar or bistro, but would definitely like to (in fact, my partner has been to the Nag's previously for dinner and found the food was great). The whole atmosphere was simply amazing. I would definitely stay at the Nag's again (and probably will soon with my son heading to Newcastle Uni next year!!).

There is nothing that I could fault with the Nag's Head Hotel. Everything was great from start to finish.

Good value, the room and shared bathroom was very clean and the bed was clean and comfortable. They have a sink in the room too which was nice.

As it's above a pub there was a bit of noise when we were going to sleep but it wasn't excessive as the pub wasn't busy especially for a Friday. Could still get to sleep fine. It's also a short drive out of the city centre but that wasn't an issue for us. Overall it was great value.

The cleanliness of the bath facilities were excellent. The room's lighting was spartan and not the best for reading. I really wanted a quiet room and the room chosen by staff for me was perfect.

It was all good. You could hear bass from the music downstairs until a bit after midnight but it is above a pub so to be expected!

Above a pub, with lots of bars around. I felt safe due to many doors. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable.

At the weekend it may be hard to sleep here due to pub noise Howe this didn’t affect me staying midweek.

Extremely clean, the place seemed to be newly renovated all the facilities are spotless. The bed was very comfortable and linens were upscale. Staff was friendly and helpful.

They need to check the door pin pad, I got locked out last day early morning and couldn’t get in after coming back from bathroom. I had to go to the cafe downstairs in pajama to borrow a phone to contact the hotel, which was embarrassing.

Separate entrance private from pub, lovely staff, sink and kettle and tea and coffee and iron and hairdryer and soap and complimentary toiletries in room, very clean and comfortable

Lack of soundproofing between rooms, but it was quiet. The lighting was uncomfortable for me, the main overhead lights too bright

Second stay and also got locked out in the morning. Room key pad seemed to be programmed to be deactivated on your departure day even before check out time. Real inconvenient only this time I carried my phone to the bathroom to contact someone from lesson learnt from previous stay. And a small table is needed in this room to have meals on.
