Mantra Zanzibar

The view is great from the apartment we were allocated. The location is great as it's very central to everything we needed in Mooloolaba.

The main aircon in the kitchen/lounge area was not working. Someone from maintenance checked it but we never got feedback on the outcome. The assumption was that it's faulty as we tried to use it after and it was switched off completely. The lounge could use with a vacumn under the couches as it was quite dusty there. We have young kids dropping stuff all the time and had to fish things out from under the couches as few times.

Great location every thing is walking distance, directly down stairs.We were on the 5th floor over looking the beach and the rainbow lorikeets flock to the fur trees out the front on dusk.The night markets where on Saturday and Thursday which was lovely to have a wonder through.Car park height is 2.2 so didn't have to worry about the car been on the street.

We had a three bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious but the children's rooms were directly above the pool and in the morning if they wanted to sleep in they got woken to the music been played by the hotel in the pool area. Also the shower head in the ensuite was painful as it moved to face the floor when you turned the water on and off and one had to fiddle with it to stay up (I'm sure this is an easy fix)and it was due to the great water pressure .

We had a wonderful stay. Beds were very comfortable. Great kitchen. Main bathroom great. Great balcony with excellent views. Location superb with heaps of restaurant options in walking distance. Beach front location with lovely clean sand and water. Easy access to secure car parking.

Ensuite shower was over a spa bath. So if you are tall you cannot use. So we had 4 people all using main bathroom shower. Not ideal. Request for extra toilet roll was difficult to fulfil by reception. If you are not an Accor Plus member you need to pay for internet access.

Location is 10/10. We did have a little trouble checking in after hours, as no one was answering the number we were given to call. Eventually someone arrived on site and let us in after about 30mins of waiting. This was frustrating however not too much of a problem as we just went to a near by restaurant to wait until this was sorted. We had a 2 bedroom unit, which while the interiors are dated, was well appointed, comfortable & clean, with amazing views. I'd say if you want good value for money, a fabulous location, comfortable beds this is a great option.

After hours check in.

The hotel was really well located overlooking the beach. Shops and restaurants very close nearby. The rooms had a very nice fit out. Clean and well kept.

The only criticism was the main bedroom had a shower in the spa bath and it was very hard to get into and out of. A walk-in shower would have been far preferable and a bath if you had young children. It would be very difficult for elderly people.

Fantastic location - view to die for and lots of eateries to choose from just downstairs. The gym was also well equipped and quiet. The pool looked ok too. Included parking was super convenient and the desk staff were kind enough to let us park there ahead of our check-in time.

Some areas looked a little tired and our apartment was a little musty - although this was addressed by running the a/c.

Located centrally - walk out the door and you are in the middle of the Main Street near shops and eateries. the view was stunning - panoramic epic view of the bay. The pool was solar heated and temperature lovely. The apartment kitchen was adequately supplied with cutlery, crockery etc.

The property is a little outdated but still nice. The pool definitely needs an overhaul but still great. Staff were very pleasant but shortages made services tricky.

Position and access to beach

The property did not have enough lounge seating - only seating for 4 and had rooms for 6 . The lounge was also very uncomfortable as it was worn out and had lost its seating support. The TV was very difficult to use and unpleasant to watch. Very disappointing considering the high cost per night to stay there. The 3rd bedroom window wouldn’t open properly which made the room hot.

The location is excellent opens to cafes and shops, 2 minute walk to beach. The view from our room was beautiful sat on the verandah looking at the ocean when we were in the apartment.

For value for money it's not good. The accommodation is run down and needs alot of maintenance. The furniture in our apartment was dirty, worn and stained very disappointed. When we had our weekly service they only changed the sheets and towels. Floors were gritty they were like this on arrival. Basins, showers and toilets were not cleaned. I reported this to reception and was told we'll tell cleaners nothing happened.

The location an view were exceptional-loved that the tree outside our unit was decorated as a Christmas Tree!! Easy to get to the beach, cafes and shopping.

Loved it all- a guest left smelly prawns in the bin in the parking lot, this could have been removed quicker
