It's difficult to fault this hotel. We stayed in Mt. Isa to attend the Annual Rodeo. The Red Earth Hotel actually exceeded my expectations - the room was large and well equipped. Very comfortable and well decorated. The hotel was noisy - but that was due to the Rodeo events nearby, and we were forewarned by the hotel!

It would have been nice if there was a bath in the bathroom - there is plenty of space for one ! The room also has no windows - I like to get some fresh air at night. The airconditioner was making a noice - so a little irritating.

The stand-out moment was that the staff arranged (for a modest additional fee) an early check-in. They approved this within 10 minutes of our call. This was a God-send, as we had travelled all night because we had been able to secure any accommodation. The use of the laundry and dryer (no charge) was another God-send. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of blankets. The capsule coffee machine in the room was a lovely touch.

I thought that the shower was a little mouldy and the spa bath needed a thorough cleaning of the jets and pipes.

Location was good - nice new deck bar in the Hotel next door serving craft beers and pretty good wines Breakfast Menu was OK ... it was solid enough.. no issues really. Only one on in the Kitchen when it`s a full house is a worry - long waits by others after me. I got there at 7.00am.

The Grill restaurant which is linked to the Hotel was booked out - no room for in house guests... maybe need to keep a few seats vacant for in house guests until say 7.30pm then release them to the public.. I was there on a Thursday night.

Staff were friendly and helpful. When I booked I requested a cot and an extra bed and everything was setup and ready to go when I checked in. Unfortunately 2 of kids got unwell during the night and again when I was checking out but staff were very understanding. Location was good, short walk to the pub, coles, Kmart and a variety of other shops. Ample parking available.

I was under the impression that the restaurant was closed and I was unable to order food however I got told during check out this was not the case, no major drama but could of ordered in I guess.

Very good disabled access bathroom! Great location. Very comfortable bed. The housekeeping staff were extremely helpful and friendly

the staff at the front desk could barely crack a smile. head down when we walked past and no eye contact

Choice and volume of the music at the Pub on Thursday night.

Curtains needed repairs (tacky), ceiling lights dirty and of poor lighting quality

I didn't have time to eat there but the hotel was very nice and extremely clean. Cocktail bar lounge area was wonderful and comfortable. Room was very clean and the bed was amazing.

On signing in the man at the front counter was extremely rude to my work colleagues. Two of these people have stayed at your hotel several times.

When you stay request a balcony. Just awesome sitting outside and watching the world by go. Good sized rooms, clean bathroom. Comfy bed. Excellent location.

Pillows. But that's normal. We all like our own pillows.

Great location, beautiful huge room, very comfortable bed. A great pub and restaurant next door is part of the property, had a very nice dinner there. Also a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Waited half an hour to check in, very slow at front desk, they need more staff. After a huge drive, it was very annoying, they need to be more efficient.
