Mariners North Holiday Apartments

Beachfront view facing North. Large Pool. Tennis Court. Location was a few minutes walk to food outlets and "The Strand" walking path. Quick drive into CBD (but theres not much in there). Not much really at "The Strand". If you want something more than a Pizza Shop, Fish and Chip takeway, 2x Pubs and Coffee Club, you will need to drive a few kilometres.

Only negative is the shower. Worst showers i've come across in a long time. Almost zero water pressure and really tiny shower heads. On a side note, The Male who looked after the pool needs to take a chill pill. Abusing small children for jumping and splashing and basically being kids and then having a crack at people for moving from the pool to the the spa and "cross contaminating the chemicals". Chill ole mate. We are on holidays.

From arriving at the place, all the way to leaving, customer service and administration was amazing! I was notified that we could check in from 12pm via text the day before our arrival which was exceptional. Beds and pillows were so comfortable! Couldn't rate highly enough how comfy they were. 2bdr apartment was spacious via the stairs, easy access into all facilities

Only let down was the lounge was a bit dated ans a bit stiff. And 1 warm blanket between 2 single beds to share in the rooms were the let downs. Other than that, all good from family of 4.

We had a pleasant stay at Mariners North. We had a spacious apartment that overlooked the stand, the ocean, and we could even see Magnetic Island quite well. We had 2 bathrooms, which was excellent when travelling with a teen who enjoys her own space. The staff were fabulous on check in, we were actually able to check in early, which was fabulous after being in a hot car for several hours. The pool and spa areas were great. We spent quite a bit of time there.

The apartment is quite tired, with a lot of damage to walls and skirting boards - it actually appears to have been flooded at some point. There were no TVs in the bedrooms, despite having the antennas hanging there. Furniture was tired and damaged. There was a lot of wear and tear in this apartment, random hooks and holes in the walls. There was no bathroom door in the ensuite room, which was particularly annoying as who wants or needs to listen to anyone in the loo. The laundry had a very strong mouldy smell, which was unpleasant, and the clothes airer was broken and unusable. I also removed rubbish from under the beds from the previous occupiers. For the price we paid for 4 nights accommodation and the location, it was disappointing to note so many issues.

We enjoyed the well maintained pool and tennis court. The large clean apartment and the view of the bay and castle rock. The location was excellent, close to town, the Magnetic Island ferry and the Strand esplanade of course.

We found that a outdoor lounge setting was used inside for the main living area, it was very uncomfortable. We used the kitchen alot and a few things were lacking, like a large non stick frying pan instead of the worn out electric frying pan. Just a few more basics like full salt and pepper shakers, perhaps some spray cooking oil.

Very spacious apartment with good facitlities. Fantastic views from the balcony, looking out over the Strand and out to Magnetic Island (we were on 6th floor in apartment No.54)

Apartment must have been wonderful 20 or 30 years ago, but is now in need of some renovations. Even a fresh coat of paint on the doors, door frames and skirting boards would make such a difference. The windows also looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several years. Just a little bit of improved maintenance would make such a difference to what is otherwise a lovely apartment.

The location was excellent. The spacious apartment, cleanliness & facilities. A perfect time away and excellent kitchen facilities to make family meals. The washing machine & dryer facilities was great. We will definitely be back & was worth every cent. Was the most beautiful place we have stayed at for a family get together. Cannot recommend enough. Michelle @ reception was very kind & helpful and very welcoming. 5 star rating of location, facilities, customer care & a happy feel at the Apartment.

Didn’t stay long enough!! No negatives at all.

Great location - on the Strand, one minute walk from the kid's action (the water park, playgrounds etc.) and only a few minutes from the main eateries, supermarket etc. Whilst it may not have been modern, the apartment was clean, roomy and very quiet! The apartment had two balconies - one with views north along the strand beach and the other south towards the harbour port. The Wifi was good, and the lifts, pool, bbq area, undercover secured parking and all room facilities, and surrounds were well looked after and functional. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all communication with the premises was efficient. We appreciated the early check-in that was arranged for us.

The location is perfect and the view is stunning. Easy walk to shops, pool and restaurants along the strand. The apartment complex, pool area, gardens etc are very well cared for.

This wasn't an issue for us, but some people might find the stairs to the apartment a bit of a challenge as there is no lift access. The lounge could do with replacing, it was quite dusty/old smelling, flared up the sinuses every time I sat on it. With this said, I've stayed before and I would definitely stay again.

Checked in by the most lovely host, so friendly and polite. Our carpark was so close to our apartment entry. Our views were spectacular. Big and spacious apartment. Had absolutely everything I needed for my families needs. So close to shops and restaurants. Plenty of eating options. We are returning in Easter again for an event, so will definitely be booking again.

No complaints at all. We were fortunate to stay during 28-30 degree weather in June. Bliss!!

Reception lady was above and beyond when it came to customer service. Nothing was a hassle. Beautiful views, really impressed with the location. The apartment was huge, much bigger than the photos show.

Not a dislike, more an improvement - no doona on the beds? Just a sheet. Was a bit disappointing. Would have liked a fully made up bed for the price you could just climb into, not drag a blanket out of the cupboard to make it yourself.
