Blue Seas Motel

The location is good with an excellent view of the water. The place is within walking distance of main street of Port Lincoln, along with cafes and supermarkets. There is an automated key drop off and return facility that is very convenient if you are coming in and out at irregular hours. The rooms are quite clean and the place is good value for money.

The interiors are functional but nothing special, with spartan furnishing and harsh lighting. I recommend you bring your own shampoo and toiletries as only there is only a hand soap dispenser. The WiFi was not working when we stayed on the latest trip, but on previous trips was okay.

I booked two rooms. One for my son and one for me. My son's daughter (granddaughter) had a brain tumour identified and had to have an emergency operation so his room was not used as he couldn't come. I advised of this by email and also in person to office staff. No refund was given unlike the Wallaroo Ferry who didn't hesitate to refund his fare immediately. Good location, rooms clean and has the little extras like a couple of packets of biscuits and small milk bottle rather than uht.

Obtaining the key on arrival was a joke. They use a self check-in based on an email code being sent to you. The email with the code was not sent to ourselves and 2 other guests who happened to arrive when we did. Rang the number Key Safe provided on their sign. This number only works office hour (see picture of key dispenser and instructions) They also provide an option (press 2) for an emergency, but this is not answered. We were very lucky another guest was able to contact the manageress and tell her that there were a number of people outside the office, so she rushed down to ensure we able to check in. In summary, if you are going to arrive after office hours you are taking a risk

The room was very large and clean. The view from the room was amazing as we were on the third floor. Close to everything and we could easily walk to the beach and shops etc. And was great value for money. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at The Blue Seas Hotel.

The only thing that was not to our liking was the bed. It was not very comfortable and was a little bit saggy.

The room was clean with all necessary items for a comfortable stay. The motel itself took me back to a bygone era. Great location within walking distance to the town centre and Promenade The cleaning staff I interacted with were always friendly.

The taps in the shower were difficult to turn on and off. The hot water tap in particular could do with some maintenance.

I like this place as a no-frills, basic clean and comfortable place for a short stay. A little outdated but really who cares when on a quick trip?

If I had to be critical the soaps were not very good and the air conditioner is quite noisy - it's an old-fashioned inefficient air con, not a split system. The WiFi is pretty bad when there are lots of guests, outside that period it's just OK.

Very clean, amazing view. I had a great stay at Blue Seas Motel. There is no reception, but everything went smoothly. The motel is about 30 min drive from the airport, no buses, just taxi. The REX crew called mine when I arrived. Very quiet in the night, felt safe there. Good value for money.

Well equipped room with fridge microwave plates cutlery kettle etc so can self cater a bit to save money . Short walk from a few other options for food . Allowed us to check out a bit late at no fee

Reception hours are quite limited but they have an effective out of mom hours check in and very responsive on messaging

on arrival we realised we had been allocated a top floor room and I currently have bad sciatica pain and realised I wouldn’t be able to climb stairs. called the manager who promptly understood and moved our room to one on ground floor. so very much appreciated! room was spacious with all needs - microwave, cutlery to allow us to eat takeaway in room as avoiding going out due to Covid. we also flew to Adelaide for the day and arranged for my car to be picked up for a service which reception assisted with holding a key for collection without any questions!

shower drain blocked easily so quick showers and waiting between showers but was reported to reception and they will no doubt fix asap :)

It was definitely budget accommodation but far better than I expected for the money. All of the creature comforts I look for were there (comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, cutlery, facewasher and peace and quiet. Views were also lovely.
