Best Western Mill Park Motor Inn

The room was larger than the one we had last time, so was better for us & our adult daughter. Bed very comfortable for me, a little firm for my husband. Had more than one seating option and a table and chairs to sit at. The proximity of the establishment is perfect: near to my father's place we were visiting, close to highways/freeways we needed to use, easy to find and has eating establishments within walking distance. Fairly quiet too, both this time and last time. Great black out blinds ensure privacy in the room too, even during daylight hours.

No bedside storage either side, my bed side lamp (wired in) was unusable as it was flickering, the smoke alarm flashed a blue strobe light ALL NIGHT LONG and the air con had a constant high pitched noise when operational, and the fluro light above the bathroom sink was also non-operational, making getting ready a little difficult. The shower head seemed not to be fully attached to the wall of the shower and therefore leaked while operating, and I've let the management know of the smoke detector and shower head issue as we departed. They can't improve what they're not told about by those staying there!

What a great place for a family to stay! I was pleasantly surprised at how practical the family room was set up and how clean everything was. The bathroom was clean and functional, with a spacious shower. The kitchenette had everything you could need with plates, bowls, cutlery and a decent range of cups. There was a fridge and microwave. Having a separate room with another queen bed and a single bed was great to give us a little space and privacy. Split system was a little slow to start up but worked brilliantly once it was going - was a very chilli night. It felt spacious and well set out, perfect for having a family in there! There are many places to eat and shop within a short walk for a few options or short drive for many, many options! Staff were welcoming and check in and out was easy.

Beds were a little firm but comfortable enough and unfortunately no electric blankets on any beds or heater in the other bedroom - was a bit chilli in bedroom with door shut.

Nice and quite area. Room was spacious with separate second bedroom perfect for our kids to sleep in without us disturbing them. Nice and clean and well appointed.

Neighbour next door was quite loud out the front after midnight for about half an hour, although the motel didn't have any control over that. It also would have been nice to have some sort of couch to sit on in the room, it seemed like there was space for one but there was just a round table with a couple of the dining chairs around it instead. But it wasn't a major issue, we just sat on the bed instead.

A few good restaurants are just around the corner, literally within walking distance.

Lots of mosquitoes got into the room on the first day. It got better after I asked for a bug spray. The cleaning lady threw away my dish washing cloth. Though it isn't worth much, it was a new one. There wasn't any ceiling fan/ air conditioner in the bedroom. We couldn't sleep without opening the bedroom door.

The room was excellent and the staff very friendly. I would stay again.

The web site needs updated. It says there is a buffet breakfast available and there isn't. It also says there are a couple restaurants that will deliver and back charge your room and there aren't. This was upsetting as I had planned in advance to use there only to find on arrival they were available and had to then make different arrangements last minute. There should be ashtrays outside rooms so that smokers have somewhere to put their cigarette butts.

Kitchenette facility, spacious rooms, brick walled (almost always quiet), all ground level, central location to a variety of shopping malls. Many carpark spaces. Standard room had two sets of table and chairs - one in dining area and one in lounge area. Dated, but clean. Daily cleaning service.

Bed not as comfortable as other motels we've stayed in of similar value/cost; pillows were flat. Ironing board a bit awkward to use.

Room was beautiful, modern and comfortable. Loved the lounge where you could sit and watch tv without sitting on the bed. The room was immaculate and a credit to your cleaning staff. Great value for the price. Cafe and restaurant and fast food 1 min walk away.

We were in a room down a corridor where our car could not be seen. One of the reasons I stayed here was because the rooms were ground floor and I presumed we would park out the front. But that was not the case.

The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Because of Christmas break our room was not serviced until the day before we left. We obtained clean towels from the office.

The bathroom needs to be updated.

Much to like/enjoy. Very spacious room with small kitchenette for no more than the price of the room. Plenty of power points and plenty of desktop and table top space for working and eating. Excellent kebab restaurant within walking distance having excellent food to take back to the unit (as the restaurant itself was quite noisy). Excellent Thai restaurant a short drive away...shall return to dine again at this Thai restaurant. Other people followed the 10 pm quiet time and so even though the motel was quite filled, it was quiet after 10 pm. Room are well off the main highway, so did not hear highway noise. Free bottle of red wine in the room -- although we didn't need/use it, so left it for the next lucky people.

The refrigerator needed defrosting -- obviously had not been done for some while. As always, we bring a small paring knife and bread knife -- happy we did so, as there were limited kitchen utensils. Also limited packet of dishwashing liquid, so were happy to have our own with us.

Friendly and welcoming. Lovely room. Fresh Smelling -which is unusual in a motel. They are often musty. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch, although I don't drink so just left it for the next occupant. Clean kitchen/living area. Bed was a little firm but that's always subject to personal preference. Bathroom was clean and free of mildew.

The shower door was non existent. Not sure if they removed it on purpose but the shower was large enough that you could shower without spraying water everywhere. Although everything was clean and free of mould a little more attention to detail in the corners would have been great. There were also a lot of paint chips on the bathroom door. A key box for early departures would be handy. I just slid my key under the door of the reception area.
