Nelsons of Bridgetown

Room size was enjoyable. Bed was very comfortable and a good hot shower with lovely soft towels although shower pressure dropped when room behind used theirs. I travel a lot on business so keep cleaning the remotes in the room - many motels forget to do this which is disgusting but yours were clean, so thank you.

The rooms are dated and for the price it is necessary to bring the rooms up to 2021 standard. I was in room 18 and it wouldn't take much...replace the lace curtains with more modern sheers. An expense but install more power points near the table for work use. I bring an extension cord but without it would be impossible to plug in to recharge phones, iPad, laptop etc. Hanging a 4 point power board from behind the fridge doesn't cut it.

All the staff I met were Friendly and helpful . I fell and injured my leg and the receptionist gave me dressings from their first aid box and drove me to the pharmacy Property Clean and the bed very comfortable, . Very spacious and rather lovely bathroom

A little pricey and I suggest you bring your own hairdryer. The one in the bathroom must be as old as the motel and not very effective. Carpet probably due to be replaced

The restaurant was fantastic, one of the nicest meals we've ever had at an accommodation. Lovely ambiance! Nice veranda section for predinner drinks & meeting other guests.

Nothing really; obviously an older establishment, but that had charm also.

I had the Asian Pork Belly for dinner which was delicious. Parking right outside my room was much appreciated as I had heavy things to carry to my room. I had a problem with the hot water which was rectified as soon as someone was available. The outside patio was very welcome.

The room was huge but instead of multiple beds I'd have liked a nice comfortable lounge chair of sorts to sit, relax in and watch a bit of television or just read. Lack of channels on the TV. Had numerous listed but only local and regional ones accessible. Foxtel would be welcome as the cost of the room per night was not cheap compared to where I'd stayed the previous two nights to arriving at Nelsons.

whilst a little dated, Nelson’s has it all, small town wonders, brilliant staff, great food and they just can’t do enough for you. Everyone in our group commented on how awesome our stay was. we will be back.

All staff from check-in through to check-out including restaurant and cleaners were very friendly and polite. The restaurant food was lovely and well presented. The beds were very comfortable.

Just the cobwebs on the ceilings in the kitchen and above the bed. The rats in the roof were a bit off putting too but I mentioned it on check out and a note was made to address the issue.

We couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room or the comfort of the bed. We weren’t expecting 5 star. We just wanted something central, warm and clean. Nelson’s exceeded our expectations.

The location was great!

No breakfast but good cafe over the road. Reasonable walk to central Bridgetown. Room had a courtyard. Hassle free.

Nelsons is fit for purpose. I stayed in one of the older rooms but it was suitable for a business overnight stay. Wifi was good and the bed was comfortable. They were very good with my request of a microwave so that was a big plus.

Clean, organised and everything was where you expect it to be. Particularly warm weekend when I stayed and the air-conditioning was more than adequate, the bathroom was very clean and the hotel is positioned at the further and of the main Street (still very accessible by foot), it was quiet and a peaceful experience.

Nothing worth faulting.
