Motel One Wien Westbahnhof

Very friendly and confortable hotel. Staff always very helpful, room is functional and clean. Breakfast is good value. Location for travel via train from Westbahnhof is very good. Lots of restaurants and fast eateries in the immediate vicinity. Everything runs as expected.

Paper cups instead of glass in room. I just don't like drinking from paper cups.

In a word - MotelONE standard. The location is simply Westbanhof - you will find everything you need (Billa, Muler, restaurants, bars...) around the train station or inside the train station. Basically, you are in one of the city centers, but if you take nice walk down the street Mariahilfe, you will reach center easily. The surrounding is typical for the train station, but safe and not unpleasant. Parking is convenient, comfortable and for Vienna affordable. The rooms are very clean, WIFI is fine, windows are fully soundproof, plenty of elevators... Check out is easy, just leave the card in the bowl at the reception desk. TIP 1. Parking is valid for 24 hours, so if you check in at 16:00 you can use parking next day until 16:00. TIP 2. Don't leave parking card in a car because you need it to enter the garage. TIP 3. If you want authentic Austrian restaurant go up to Mariahilfe street and look for Mariahilfe braurei.

Be aware there is no fridge in the room. The road from parking to the motel is trough the train station or around the motel building, so if you have heavy luggage, or a lot of small bags, first leave it in the motel, and than go to park your car.

Perfect location! 10 meters from hauptbanhof train station. Inside the train station has a market, U3, U6. Outside there is a bus VAL 1 that goes directly to the airport with 9.5 euro in 40 minutes. The center is about 3 km but you can easily walk especially with a child because it is a pedestrian area(mariahilfer). The hotel was very clean and hot. The room was very spacious. The only problem is that it doesn t have fridge but you can leave everything you need in the reception. The staff was really kind. The breakfast is nice but al little bit expensive( 15.9).

Great location for getting around Vienna, particularly if the weather is cold and snowy! Motel was very clean and it was a nicely appointed room. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was great too. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel, tended to go elsewhere. The room position was facing the road, but it wasn't noisy. Occasionally heard other guests in the room but not late on at night.

Minor point, but perhaps including breakfast at the price paid would be nice. Other than that nothing negative to comment on at all.

There's always a saying goes that booking a hotel near the main train station is always a 'no-no' due to the safety and the security around the train station. But I beg to differ. The hotel that I've stayed is a very safe hotel with a security feature provided if you are back to the hotel late. The customer service is excellent too; they have made a tired and hot traveller like me feel very comfortable. They are very friendly and willing to make small talks with you to make you feel at ease in the hotel. The room is good. Spacious and just nice, the bed is good and they provide many pillows, which I really do appreciate, considering that I need as many pillows as possible to sleep on. They provide good table and armchair which I can literally drag the table near me if I need the table to do something. The bar has quite good and affordable selections on both hot and cold drinks - alcohol and non-alcoholic. And the person behind the bar is very accommodating and friendly. I like! And the hotel has a close proximity to the airport shuttle bus stop, so this is a plus point.

There should have been a better and wider selection of bar snacks - particularly those with hot snacks. I would love to have that. And if the hotel could provide a water kettle, it will be great as well.

Nice location. Near the train station. Airport shuttle stop only 50 m. from hotel. Public transportation tram, metro etc. 150 m. far away from hotel. Quite big hotel. Cleaniness is very good. Our room was not so large but it was enough for us. Breakfast was optional but very rich. Hotel has a nice lobby cafe. Staff was very cute and helpful. Our room was facing to inner garden so it was very silent. Heating system was working properly and silent. Bed and sleeping stuff was very clean and comfy.

There was no mini refrigerator in room.

Best Location, the Hotel is next to West bahnhof with modern Style. Everything in the room is Comfort. Staff is friendly and helpfull. There are a lot of shops in West bahnhof that made this hotel is very convinience. I have ever been here last 8 years ago and I can't change my mind from Motel One Wien Westbahnhof. If I have a chance to visit Vienna again, this hotel is the only choice for me.

Special thanks to Cecilia and frank from the reception. I missed the room cleaning on my second day and the housekeeping was not longer available on that day. I mentioned at the reception and I left for a couple of hours. When I came back, in the room was everything I needed. Thanks a lot guys. awesome location, right on the bahnhof, and right on the start of Mariahilferstraße. (connections to U3, S7 and VAL1 bus to the airport is right in front) since the city closes all the stores at 6 pm it was good to have ALL the food OPTIONS. (McDonald's, subway, Anker, other bakeries even Vapiano) open at the bahnhof until very late and of course the bar with snacks in the actual Motel.

the room was very tidy and pretty clean but a bit small with a big chair and some huge table taking up the space. also the carpet looked like it needed serious cleaning even after vacuuming it didn't feel clean. but this is not Something that wozld prevent me from going there again since the location - connections were great!

nice and modern hotel - good sized room - big and comfortable bed - nice walk in shower. Very smooth elevator! Very friend and helpful staff Convenient location! right out side of bus and metro station. I like how the duvet was two separate singles and not tucked under the bed like many hotels do.

Pillow is a little too soft but that is just my personal preference. Aircond locked at 18c but the room still feels a little warm - perhaps it is because our room faces the sun most of the time. The bedside safe is a little too small.
