Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Edmonton International Airport

I loved the staff, everyone I interacted with seemed to love working there! The breakfast bar was amazing! They offer a little waffle machine, great toppings for Oatmeal bowls, delicious and simple omelet options. There were some meat options too but I didn't pay much attention as I dont eat meat when traveling. Some juice was available though I was there for some coffee which is available in the lobby and at the breakfast bar. Very clean even though the hotel is older and surprise a jacuzzi tub! Wish I had the time to use that but was just doing an overnight layover and only there to sleep.

The ac was very loud and could not turn off. Due to the close vicinity to the highway I was woke up around 4am to a bunch of semi trucks honking. My stay was midnight to 7am so to be woken up was not ideal. The shuttle service was very confusing because when you call from the airport they say "its a metro" so I thought I had to find some kind of subway train system, but the shuttle is called "metro shuttle". The drivers do not really communicate where they are going and the other passengers lead to more confusion of what the shuttle destination is, my advice is just ask the driver directly and definitely tell them where you need to be dropped off when you get on, otherwise they need to loop back on the route which causes inconvenience to other passengers.

I really liked the location of the property. It’s close enough to the airport but far enough away the parking lot was quiet and I wasn’t worried about my vehicle like some of the other hotel parking lots in the area. One big bonus was their little canteen by the front desk. I forgot to get some water at the gas station and they had a big selection of drinks and snacks available at a reasonable rate. Loved that.

The carpet in the room could use a clean. It wasn’t visibly soiled but it felt a bit grimy.

Well lit and clean hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and had good amenities. Parking space was plenty. Front desk staff were helpful. Hotel is easily accessible from the major highway. The main lobby and corridors were clean. Having tea and coffee available all time was a nice touch.

Breakfast was good, it had hot and cold items. Improvement possibilities: add more than one friendly staff during the very busy breakfast time, especially for long weekends. Add more healthy vegetarian options.

Close to the airport (for work) and park n fly. Comfy bed.

The furniture and walls are starting to show its age. Some plugs didn't work, 3 or 4 lights didn't work either and the jets in the bath didn't work either (timer on the wall was no good - front desk didn't know how to get it running). Last time I stayed the night at this hotel was a few days after its grand opening - years ago. Just felt the standard dropped a bit....but then again...that's just me.

The worker at the front desk was a fabulously friendly person. We had a small dog with us and they provided a small package with some treats and bags to pick up dog waste, it was a nice little touch. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was spacious.

The carpet in our room was on the dirtier side. There were no big pieces of dirt or anything but you could see some parts of the carpet could use a carpet cleaning machine run over them, especially in the corners/edges.

The room was large, and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were clean, and they supplied towels. The shuttle was on time, and was free, which was nice.

The packed breakfast could have had a bit more variety…maybe a muffin, or a croissant…juice would have been nice We had a 6 o’clock flight, so no choice but to get it packed. Did appreciate getting something, though.

The front desk check in was easy and friendly. The room was spacious and the hotel is a fairly new build so furnishings are clean, bright and modern. We went for breakfast just 20 minutes before it closed and the continental buffet was still hot, fresh and fully stocked with many different choices. Great location, just a hop skip and jump from EIA, the outlet mall, and Edmonton city limits. Parking was spacious. Would 100% stay again.

We booked the jaccuzi suite and the jaccuzi tub fit about 1.5 people. It was snug, but my husband and I found a way to both sit in it.

The room was amazing. We had a king suite and if you have kids I highly recommend it. The room alone makes me want to come back. The housekeeping did an amazing job when they cleaned our room, above and beyond. Pool was good and same with the hot tub, pool towels were very tiny and rough though. Breakfast was good although there wasn't much space and lots of people still not wearing masks even though it was mandated. The breakfast attendant did an amazing job.

The front desk staff when checking in and during the stay were not friendly or helpful. Very much just get you checked in and that was that. Almost like we were bothering them. The carpet in the hallways of the second floor were not flat and lifting and bunching in many of the spots. My kids tripped more than once on the bunching and my husband and I had to catch ourselves on them too.

Fantastic water pressure and shower, large spacious bathroom with lots of counter space, excellent hair dryer, spacious room, large tv, accepted my service dog no problem.

Carpet in the halls desperately need to be replaced, they are so dirty, worn out and a tripping hazard! Luggage cart had a flat tire.

the hot tub was open and I needed that so much. I had been driving since 5am and was exhausted. The bed was wonderful and the furniture comfortable. The bathroom was a good size as well. The breakfast was good and its a nice change to have hot food to eat instead of cold muffins, etc.

the TV control was missing but one was brought up, the tv usage was too complicated for me after being so tired, and the internet was even worse. I just gave up and didn't use the internet and again was too tired to call staff. The one thing that I was concerned about was the striping on the bottom of the bathtub. I could vaguely see the outline of it but you couldn't feel anything at all. The tub (at least in room 415) needs a bath mat in there or to have the strips re applied to the bottom of the tub. I slipped a couple of times because the tub was perfectly smooth and there was no resistance on the bottom. Thats a big safety concern
