Travelodge by Wyndham Prince George

I like that they had a room available in short notice and I was able to check in with no problems even though we were running quite late. We were forced into taking a "staycation" as we were having some issues with our residence a mere 9 blocks away?! Lol so when it was time to get things done at home it wasn't too far to escape back to our lil room;! The shower was excellent and I very much appreciated the opportunity to have a 2 hr one! Not something I normally do but I have not felt this clean in years!!! The beds were comfy and the sleep I needed to catch up on was uninterrupted considering the location is near a busy street and downtown! So overall I was impressed with the time spent at the Travelodge and I will recommend this place to anyone who needs a comfy bed and hot shower!! Thanks for the great stay! 😄

This exceeded my expectations. I was travelling alone, an over night stop after taking the train from Jasper. I was worried as I had heard to location wasn't great. I took a cab from the train station, less than 5mins and around $7. I felt very safe here, altho I should note that it was midweek and so maybe quieter than wknds. I did also see the police coming downstairs on my way to my room but that could've been about anything! There is restaurant attached, Zen noodle house that was yummy so I didn't have to leave the hotel. There is a 24hour reception which is very useful. The room&ensuite was lovely and clean. There was a fridge and a microwave. The room was a good size. The shower was lovely. The bed was super cosy! I could relax there and watch TV! The breakfast was a takeaway bag that I picked up from the reception in the morning. Banana, croissant, juice&cereal bar. Overall a good option for a 1night stay over.

Good basic room for a good price. The room was older and lighting was poor, but they are in the process of renovating rooms. I could have had a newly renovated room, but I did not want to be on the top floor. The room was clean. The really great part of this place is the staff. They all went out of their way to help me. As I have mobility issues, it was much appreciated. I stayed two weeks on a medical stay and it is convenient to the hospital.

Continental breakfast was not what I expected. Ended up being a few items in a bag due to staffing shortages I think.

Check in was fine. The gal at the desk could be a bit more cheery. Was informed that due to covid, breakfast was handed out in a bag, worked for us OK with coffee in the room. TV had multi channels and was easy to operate unlike some I have used in other places.

The fan in the bathroom did not work, heard another guest comment on the same. The room was not refreshed and therefore coffee pods not renewed, so had to ask. Should note it was Easter weekend. Parking off the street was tight.

The front desk receptionist was a saint. Very sympathetic and friendly. Always complimented everyone coming and going with `good luck`, `have a nice day`, `see you soon`, `welcome back` etc. She allowed us to check in early and check out late (we had hospital visits and job interviews).

I think the only thing I could say is the breakfast. I was a little disappointed. They tell you at the front desk that breakfast is SERVED between 6:30 and 9:30. When you arrive, the breakfast is grab and go (due to COVID - the manager says). When you pay just over 100$ per night, you should be able to sit down and enjoy a continental breakfast not a juice box, piece of fruit and crossant out of brown paper bag.

The property was under renovation which was not good. I complained to the management and she was very helpful and understanding. I would recommend this hotel as long as the manager is the same. She is smart and knows the business. The room was clean but the shower needed to be fixed. I trust when I return again all will be done.

The staff are so nice, friendly and supportive. We stayed in the hotel for 3 weeks. Every time we needed something or we had complain about any little thing they tried to help. The location is very good (although the whole downtown PG has some social problem related to addicted people around.) near to bus stop, banks, restaurant city hall etc. The hotel first gave us a room, we were not satisfied and they changed our room to a better room with very nice view and good sunlight. Overall, compared to what you pay it is very good.

The breakfast is not a continental breakfast at all due to Covid-19. one banana (not always fresh), a bottle of water, a nuts-bar, and a little juice box is what you get every morning from front desk. Coffee also is available from 6 to 9 down-stairs. Hall ways could be cleaner.

The staff were great, (thanks to the Receptionist who made me coffee when my machine wasnt working, and to Veronica who was bright and cheerful at 7am!) There is a fridge and microwave in the room, plus coffee machine (not working in 308!), huge room with 2 double beds and armchair. Complimentary toiletries, powerful shower, and very comfortable sheets on the bed. I was just here for the night with the train to Prince Rupert, so within walking distance from the station and in the next street there's a restaurant open til 9pm. Special thanks for the breakfast bag which was great for the train (water juice apple and yogurt) and coffee in reception . One of the cheapest hotels in town.

Paper-thin walls and noisy plumbing but that wouldn't stop me from coming back for a night

The outside doesn't look like much - very old style so I had my doubts. Inside, huge comfortable rooms, beautifully renovated, great beds. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Onsite laundry was a bonus. Conveniently located.

Parking onsite can be in short supply - there is an extra lot across the street and the hotel can also give you a pass for street parking overnight, so just make sure to ask, if the main lot is full.

The stay was comfortable, and everything was within close proximity. The location was easily accessible, and most shopping centers and attractions were nearby. The staff was also friendly and helpful
