Hampton Inn & Suites Truro, NS

Very friendly and proffessional staff. Great selection for breakfast at the hotel. Functional gym and good heated pool area. Wifi was decent. I was traveling with my brother and the room was spaceous enough for both of us to be comfortable. Shower had an adjustable shower head. Room service was optional which made if feel "like home" since you didn't have a random person coming into your space every day.

The bathroom fan either didn't work or was non existant. If you don't have a car you need to take a cab to go anywhere which can get expensive, both in $ and in time. You also have to order take out and that limits your options since few sit down restaurants deliver.

The hotel was clean & excellent, Receptionist Daniel was awesome from checking us in with a big bubbly smile & helping us with where to dine & what to see. Please give Daniel a big shout out. Breakfast was awesome a variety of hot items. Rooms were large. clean and airy. It smelled clean. We didn't have time to use the pool, but many residents/kids were enjoying the pool.

couldn't get the air-conditioning temperature higher as it was a little too cold so had to shut it off. When we checked under the mattresses one of them we found pretty big food crumbs that had also stained the underside of the sheets.

Lovely clean and comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Walking distance to restaurants was good too.

The bathroom didn't have fan. That was odd. The breakfast food was very good however, the recycle and compostable plates, cutlery etc., were not disposed of correctly as the bins were in chaos and stuffed. There has to be a better system for sorting the garbage from the recyclable and compostable materials.

The bed was amazing. I usually have trouble sleeping anytime I stay at hotels. This time, I slept amazing both nights. The fitness center was nice.

I assume it was because they are short staffed and perhaps having trouble even getting staff, like most places these days so it didn't bother me too much but they really could use more people on their breakfast. One morning there was only 1 girl working. Kudos to her though because she never showed that she was frazzled even when there were more than a dozen people in line and it never subsided. She needs a raise :)) There was no way she would be able to clean the seating area. The second day, there were 2 working but they were both just serving food. Having sanitation products for people to clean tables would have been nice. Everyone had to keep sitting at unsanitized spots....could be risky with Covid.

The only complaint was the bedding was too heavy. It kept falling off our bed. Beautiful quilt but not great to sleep under. The rest of our stay was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone. The cleanliness is what makes this hotel extra special. As well, the coffee station was exceptional as was the breakfast!

The room was very clean! The staff were terrific. And à good variety for breakfast!

I had specifically asked for a handicapped accessible room. It definitely was not. Two of the group of 4 , could not get in over thè high edge of the tub. Only 1 chair in the room. Staff did bring us four chairs. The water in the pool tasted very salty.

The location was easy to find, right off the highway. The breakfast was modified due to COVID, and the two ladies serving worked really hard to make it spectacular. The art in the room was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t change a thing. The staff were super kind and the room was clean, comfortable, and had beautiful paintings.

The room was very nice and clean. However upon arriving there was insufficient hot water so that my wife could bathe.

Being asked to deposit $50 as security against the room when you already had our credit card information. The morning breakfast was terrible although the young ladies tried very hard. It would have been better to just close the dinning area.

The room was clean, shower was good and the breakfast was fine.

Checking in was a bit of a nuisance. Paid in full for my room but they they were saying that it was just a deposit. I had to prove that I paid for the room via the Booking.com app.
