Comfort Inn

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for 2 nights while I had surgery at a nearby hospital. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Because of surgery, we had missed their free breakfast that was available. Front desk staff made sure I had a meal after surgery. The had offered yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, and juice/water. As well, they comped us some snacks and drinks from their snack bar before we went back to our room to rest. Great little hotel. Thank you for making our stay so easy :)

It is definitely a workers/travellers hotel. Room to room you couldn't hear a thing, but you could hear all of the workers leaving in the morning (doors opening/closing in hallway). It did not bother us, but if you prefer a more quiet room, I'd recommend a second floor room not close to an exit. We stayed in room 132 which was on the first floor right by an exit and directly across from the laundry facilities.

Hotel room appeared totally renovated ie; new furniture, carpet, bathroom. The queen bed had a really comfortable mattress. Room also had a coffee maker, mini fridge & microwave. The tub/shower had strong, hot flowing water. Room was quiet from outside & hallway noise. The facility has a quaint fitness room that appeared clean. The breakfast dining area was bright, clean, and had a good assortment of choices. Due to Covid, their is no self service. A young lady that worked serving your breaky was polite, pleasant, and delivered your meal table side. The hotel is close to shopping & restaurants. Front desk service was welcoming & very detailed on information on the hotel, it’s amenities & provided me with a usb charger as I forgot to bring one.

In the breakfast room, a staff member served from behind a counter. One could choose scrambled eggs, sausages, bananas, yogurt, porridge, dry cereals, coffee & tea. Check-in was very friendly. I was given a room on the ground floor near check-in. Parking was around the exterior of the building. I chose to put my car opposite the front entrance. There were several nearby eateries, in walking distance. I chose Swiss Chalet. When I had car trouble I found there were numerous car dealerships on the outskirts of the city, including the one I needed.

The property was…efficient. Not beautiful or inspiring by any means, and Google Maps couldn’t direct me to other locations from there, but I can’t blame the Inn for that. Room was clean and in good repair. Plenty of towels and pillows.

Tiny lobby meant really only room for one customer in the lobby at a time, in order the new able to comply with Covid distancing mandates. Beds were noisy enough to wake up my friend sleeping in the next bed if one of us rolled over during the night. And umpfh, the breakfast sandwich was awful.

Although this place is under construction, it didn't affect my stay. The bed was squeaky but outside of that, the staff were great, kind, polite, helpful, and willing to help including custodial, the breakfast is made and served for you and can.

The price given to me was $150.00 when I booked through you and when I got there the price was $249 ish. There was no way to contact you to sort this mess out.

The breakfast was ok ... nothing to write home about but hey it was included and we must be greatful there was a breakfast under the covid circumstances. I really liked the fact it's pet friendly. We had no choice but to take our little shitsu and they gave us a room on the ground floor and we just opened the sliding door to take our 4 legged friend out to do his business. The room was very clean. I will go back there again in the future and I recommend it to anyone who has a dog.

I didn't like the fact that when I arrived there was no staff at the front check in. I had to ring the bell 3 or 4 times.

Stacey was very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean and met my expectations. The location is great. Minutes from restaurants and tourist attractions.

Breakfast was ok. Not particularly interested in packed meals as other properties offer a large variety of cold and hot options. Also, the hotel was busy over the weekend with so many people checking in. The front reception is extremely small and there was a line-up of people checking in. More staff would have helped.

The front desk personnel was very pleasant. Rita in particular was delightful and expertly answered all questions. The property was very nice. We appreciated that the room was really clean and did not have an unpleasant odour (like many hotels do)

The only unpleasant thing was loud people in the hallways at night.

The hotel charges a $200.00 security deposit which is refunded in 3-5 days. This could be open to abuse. This is the first time I have been asked for a deposit. Is this a new trend in the industry? I might look into arbnb next visit.
