Everything about this place is amazing. Especially front desk staff Mr Peter Snyder. Peter welcomed us like family. He made our stay in Ottawa memorable. He is the most friendliest staff we have come across. He is genuinely accommodating. What an amazing personality for hospitality. I hope the hotel looks after him well and respectfully as a highly valued staff as the staff makes the hotel and the stay. The most comfortable king size bed and huge room with kitchen and huge bathtub. The location is so convenient to everything, walking distance to all attraction and canal etc. The hotel also provides breakfast packs for everyone to take away. How amazing is that. Also free laundry detergent and laundry services (heavy duty washers and dryers on 4th floor). 30 mins cycle for each. We had the most wonderful stay here. Thank you Peter. Exceeded my expectations! Thoughtfully appointed. Dishes, cutlery, cups and pots were all very clean. Provided dish detergent, dish cloth. Even had white noise machine for sleeping. Plenty of USB charging ports. Desktop computer. A lot of really thoughtful touches that made my stay comfortable and convenient. Room was much larger than I imagined (kitchen with small dining table, larger separate dining table in spacious living area, separate bedroom, bathroom, balcony, 2 closets). Generous breakfast included (hot breakfast sandwich, muffins, fruits, boiled eggs, milk, coffee, cereals). Even had "snack packs" prepared (water, granola bar, cookies) for you to grab and go for later in the day. Internet was stable, fast, and easy to connect. Laundry and exercise room as well. Location is great too. 30 seconds from Elgin street and shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Parliament buildings, downtown core, and many local attractions.

Couldn't imagine a better experience. There was some construction going on while I was there but that is temporary.

First, Mr. DeMarie was very nice and pleasant in checking me in, and gave me an astounding large corner room with a view of the whole Maclaren and Elgin intersection and everything going on there. The front desk and cleaning staff and breakfast room staff were all very professional and friendly. The central location is excellent! There is a Dollarama nearby for some small needs; Farm Boy grocery was a good 10 minute walk only, and the place is generally a nice starting point for walking anywhere. I liked not having to ask for fresh towels and supplies whenever I needed them--they were easily accessible on the floor. Another bonus was the $10 off for not using housekeeping on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There was a wide assortment of hot and cold breakfast options at the Inn. They serve from 7am till 10am so that was our brunch. (We were in a fancier hotel by the airport a month earlier and we were given just cold cereal every day, the same breakfast-in-a-paper-bag; nothing hot or fresh! Very disappointing)

Something minor--the pot covers need to have all-metal parts as one plastic one had cracks in the lid handle and I was afraid I was going to be charged for something I didn't break. (I wasn't.) It would be helpful if there were not only a small pot and a large pot but also a medium sized one. The Wifi didn't work for my laptop so my daughter had to help me connect using an ethernet cable. I saw through an open door that the room beside me had about 10 people (having breakfast one morning); the guests were noisy --there was always a whining kid and a nagging adult outside my door and they were always noisy with the door closing. I called front desk and I am not sure what they did about it because the noise just continued.

This was our third stay at the BI, in a Signature Suite. We love the location, the beds, the space, the balconies, the easy access to towels and bath products and more. Staff is friendly and the place seems and feels safe and secure. We'll be back. One beef: I feel the gym, while very well-equipped for cardio workouts, comes up very short for weight trainers. There's just one bench and it's flat. No adjustment. The dumbbells are outdated. Some kind of multi-station machine thing would be great. For example a lat pulldown/cable row machine, a chest/shoulder press machine, a hamstring curl/leg extension machine etc. Maybe a few mats? Resistance training is proven to be effective for fitness, longevity, strength, flexibility and more. Please consider bringing some new/better equipment in!

The water pressure in the shower. We should have let the desk know right away but we let it go because it wasn't THAT big a deal.

The location is A1 being on Elgin St. near countless restaurants, convenience stores etc. We walked to Parliament Square in 10mins, Byward Market 15mins and the Natural History Museum 10mins the other way. The included breakfast was really good value for money. All variety of foods, but not plated. They have breakfast sandwiches of various kinds (like McDonald's sandwiches on English muffins) as well as bagels, muffins, yogurts, cheeses, etc. Coffee, tea, juices and waters. There were also "snack packs" to take, which had a bottle of water, cookies, granola bar and fruit bar for day trips!! Our Executive Suite room had full kitchen and microwave, toaster with a coffee maker as well. Laundry service was free including detergent with 6 of each machine and this gets busy, so do be strategic!

Not much to dislike, to be honest. The building is a bit dated, but it's clean, tidy and the staff were all great! Highly recommended for a short stay in Ottawa.

Our stay at the Ottawa „The Business Inn” in Sep 2023 was just marvelous. The apartment was utterly large, clean, and provided with many useful appliances like fully equipped kitchen, huge bed with excellent mattresses, large balcony, electrical recliner seats, plenty of USB power outlets, fast WiFi and LAN plugins, free-to-use computer system with printer, to name just the most remarkable ones. Beyond the basic supplies with coffee, tea, bathroom items, towels, etc., replenishment was available on each floor at guest’s discretion. Into the bargain, this host of services and benefits was highly affordable. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all sorts of requests a guest might have. All in all, our stay at the „The Business Inn” was an extremely positive experience we would not wish to miss. Booking accommodation at „The Business Inn” is highly recommended.

The place has surpassed our expectations in every way! It is definitely an amazing value/quality ratio. We have arrived a few hours earlier than our check-in time, and just wanted to leave the bags, but the employee at the reception just told us we could go ahead and check-in. I am pretty sure we got a bigger room, than I reserved, because it was huge! Included a big kitchen, living room, balcony and desk/computer space. The bed was big and comfortable. ACs in every room. Surprising nice touches were an electronic make-up mirror that lits up in the bathroom and white noise machine in the bedroom. The breakfast that is included offers tons of options and you can take things to go for snacks and when you check out and continue your travels it is extremely convenient. Every member of the staff, from reception to the breakfast buffet workers, were polite and welcoming. All of this paired with the location of 15 mins walk from the Parliament Hill is honestly perfect!

It is an old building, but you can see it from the photos. Everything important though, such as bedding, towels and kitchen utensils, is brand new and very clean!

An old hotel in an great place! The rooms were spatious and we totally did not expected such space for such money! We had a separate bedroom and a kitchen in addition. The kitchen had even a stove! I wanted to highlight equipment. We had two tv sets - one flat tv in every room, meeting table for six, and a stand alone computer place with a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor and printer! We didn't touch it though-we had our own laptops with us, and this was our vacation, but i was impressed with having it in the room! There was also a balcony with a view to a parking lot where our car was. Parking was available for additional $ within hotell parking area with entrance using a key card. We liked the location - there were a number of restourants just outside, and only 20 minutes by foot to Byward market. If you like delicious food, i highly recommend to visit Brown Loaf bakery which has a piece of art european bakery. It is located just across the street from The Business In, which is another plus towards the hotel!

A constant feeling that there was no renovation for a decade. Maybe because there was dark inside so it felt like 60's - i would prefer having more light in corridors and restaurant. I did not like that it was not possible to open widows in the bedroom. Luckily, the other room had a balcony. The bed in the bedroom was too soft for me. The sheets provided for an extra bed were yellow-ish. The lift was almost unavalable during breakfest, but it was not a problem to use stairs. Breakfest was not notable, but it was enough to keep us active for a few hours. There were individually packed burgers, coffee, fresh fruits, packed fruit compots and yogurts, toasts, some sweets for kids and milk in tetra-packs as well as bottled water.

Exceptional staff, great location, room was very comfortable and big and had everything you could possibly want. Found out that the hotel is locally owned and operated. The Continental breakfast was wonderful, they even had a small to go bag in the fridge with a bottle of water, a granola bar, fruit roll up and a hard candy to take along for the day. Every interaction I had with staff was respectful and welcoming. The check-in staff was amazing. We brought our E-bikes and were asking for recommendations for storage. Immediately we were given the suggestion and permission to bring them up to our room for safety.

The hotel is a bit dated but it really adds to the charm of it. Walking into the lobby I felt like I was in Europe. Despite it being a bit older it is clean and well kept.

The property is conveniently located close to the centre of the city. We booked /requested a pet friendly room and had the perfect set up for our little friend. Our suite was on the main floor for easy outside access, but because of that our window was overlooking a busy street. Window covers were blocking the street out perfectly, and there must be newer windows in the building because there was minimal noise from the street.

There was a slight smell of beer and cigarettes in the hallway. I guess that was a leftover in the walls there, since there is a pool hall in the building.

Laundry service was free including detergent with 6 of each machine and this gets busy, so do be strategic!

Not much to dislike, to be honest. The building is a bit dated, but it's clean, tidy and the staff were all great! Highly recommended for a short stay in Ottawa.

Our stay at the Ottawa „The Business Inn” in Sep 2023 was just marvelous. The apartment was utterly large, clean, and provided with many useful appliances like fully equipped kitchen, huge bed with excellent mattresses, large balcony, electrical recliner seats, plenty of USB power outlets, fast WiFi and LAN plugins, free-to-use computer system with printer, to name just the most remarkable ones. Beyond the basic supplies with coffee, tea, bathroom items, towels, etc., replenishment was available on each floor at guest’s discretion. Into the bargain, this host of services and benefits was highly affordable. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all sorts of requests a guest might have. All in all, our stay at the „The Business Inn” was an extremely positive experience we would not wish to miss. Booking accommodation at „The Business Inn” is highly recommended.

The place has surpassed our expectations in every way! It is definitely an amazing value/quality ratio. We have arrived a few hours earlier than our check-in time, and just wanted to leave the bags, but the employee at the reception just told us we could go ahead and check-in. I am pretty sure we got a bigger room, than I reserved, because it was huge! Included a big kitchen, living room, balcony and desk/computer space. The bed was big and comfortable. ACs in every room. Surprising nice touches were an electronic make-up mirror that lits up in the bathroom and white noise machine in the bedroom. The breakfast that is included offers tons of options and you can take things to go for snacks and when you check out and continue your travels it is extremely convenient. Every member of the staff, from reception to the breakfast buffet workers, were polite and welcoming. All of this paired with the location of 15 mins walk from the Parliament Hill is honestly perfect!

It is an old building, but you can see it from the photos. Everything important though, such as bedding, towels and kitchen utensils, is brand new and very clean!

An old hotel in an great place! The rooms were spatious and we totally did not expected such space for such money! We had a separate bedroom and a kitchen in addition. The kitchen had even a stove! I wanted to highlight equipment. We had two tv sets - one flat tv in every room, meeting table for six, and a stand alone computer place with a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor and printer! We didn't touch it though-we had our own laptops with us, and this was our vacation, but i was impressed with having it in the room! There was also a balcony with a view to a parking lot where our car was. Parking was available for additional $ within hotell parking area with entrance using a key card. We liked the location - there were a number of restourants just outside, and only 20 minutes by foot to Byward market. If you like delicious food, i highly recommend to visit Brown Loaf bakery which has a piece of art european bakery. It is located just across the street from The Business In, which is another plus towards the hotel!

A constant feeling that there was no renovation for a decade. Maybe because there was dark inside so it felt like 60's - i would prefer having more light in corridors and restaurant. I did not like that it was not possible to open widows in the bedroom. Luckily, the other room had a balcony. The bed in the bedroom was too soft for me. The sheets provided for an extra bed were yellow-ish. The lift was almost unavalable during breakfest, but it was not a problem to use stairs. Breakfest was not notable, but it was enough to keep us active for a few hours. There were individually packed burgers, coffee, fresh fruits, packed fruit compots and yogurts, toasts, some sweets for kids and milk in tetra-packs as well as bottled water.

Exceptional staff, great location, room was very comfortable and big and had everything you could possibly want. Found out that the hotel is locally owned and operated. The Continental breakfast was wonderful, they even had a small to go bag in the fridge with a bottle of water, a granola bar, fruit roll up and a hard candy to take along for the day. Every interaction I had with staff was respectful and welcoming. The check-in staff was amazing. We brought our E-bikes and were asking for recommendations for storage. Immediately we were given the suggestion and permission to bring them up to our room for safety.

The hotel is a bit dated but it really adds to the charm of it. Walking into the lobby I felt like I was in Europe. Despite it being a bit older it is clean and well kept.

The property is conveniently located close to the centre of the city. We booked /requested a pet friendly room and had the perfect set up for our little friend. Our suite was on the main floor for easy outside access, but because of that our window was overlooking a busy street. Window covers were blocking the street out perfectly, and there must be newer windows in the building because there was minimal noise from the street.

There was a slight smell of beer and cigarettes in the hallway. I guess that was a leftover in the walls there, since there is a pool hall in the building.
