Hampton Inn By Hilton Port Hope

We came to Port Hope to attend the Capital Theater and this location was perfect. An easy and convenient 6 min drive. The breakfast was very good. Veggie omelets, sausage, muffins, bagels, English muffins. white and w w bread for toast. GHreat hot coffee, and several kinds of cereal to choose from. About 4 juice options. Even breakfast potatoes !!! Apples, oranges & yogurt. You could even make your own waffles!!! The staff were fantastic and so very helpful. I would stay here again in a heart beat !!!

Maybe add bacon to the breakfast buffet.

We really liked the breakfast. The waffle making was very cool, and the waffles very tasty! Our room was also pretty comfortable, we had good hours of sleep. There is a pool and a gym, we didn't have much time to enjoy these facilities, but they are well maintained and clean.

the bathroom door isn't sealed off from sound, which can be slightly uncomfortable for certain people. I liked the "farm door" design, it is really pretty, but if there was an option of turning the fan on to hide certain sounds, that would be great.

The property is brand new, the rooms are very well equipped with microwave and mini fridge, nice bedding and toiletries. The swimming pool was great and the breakfast included hot eggs, bacon/sausage, cereal, make your own waffle and fruits. the guest coin laundry is a big plus. close to major highway and a big plaza. Went to tour Cobourg and the adjacent beaches.

The staff was still in training apparently at the reception, took us a while to check-in, but could have been because of the long weekend as well. otherwise everyone was friendly and trying to help.

Friendly staff. Comfortable beds, clean rooms/bathrooms, and facilities in general. Excellent hot breakfast menu. Highway nearby and ample parking. Nearby restaurant delivery available. I will definitely stay there again!

Some upgrades would greatly improve the stay, though. For example, having access to Netflix, YouTube, etc... via TV would be good. Breakfast should also be available until 10:00 a.m.

The location is very close to 401 plus two strip malls with stores and fast food. The rooms are new. modern, and clean. The bathroom was quite large with a walk in shower. The room had both sun blinds for daytime and blackout blinds for night.

I wanted to have the waffles for breakfast but they did not have real maple syrup!! Ugh - pancake syrup.

although it was new property, in the hotel room, there was still grout left on the floors that needed a cleaning, there was no coffee maker in the room as advertised and when I asked they said they were newly opened and none of the rooms had them. the breakfast was ok, powdered eggs and the potatoes were not fresh or cooked properly. the lady maintaining the breakfast area could have used another person to help and the area needed to be cleaned up.

The staff were friendly and professional throughout our visit; our room and the hotel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay there again. Both the room and the hotel are clean and well designed with the customers' comfort in mind.

One of the staff members, who was working at the front desk, was chewing gum while checking us in. It was unpleasant to listen to and watch; hopefully this habit is addressed.

No signage on the street to locate the hotel - need a sign on Jocelyn St. There was no alarm clock in the room, no TV channel guide - and why in the world is there no towel bar in the bathroom ?

The hotel room was clean, fresh and spacious. There were many towels. The offered toiletries were free of additives. The complementary breakfast was good and there were many options. Staff were cheerful and friendly.

Splitting the bill with my friend was a little complicated. It would have been better if one of us had paid the entirety and then settled it between ourselves.
