Mill River Resort

We loved our stay at Mill River Resort. The aquaplex, the golf course, and the restaurant/bar provided wonderful amenities during our visit to PEI. The staff was also very kind and welcoming.

We loved that the resort had pet friendly rooms, our only suggestion would be that maybe these rooms be tiled rather than carpeted as there was a distinct pet odor. Housekeeping did come in and freshen up the room, and the hotel offered to change our rooms but considering as much as we were off exploring the island or using the amenities we were hardly in the room, so it wasn’t a big issue for us, just a suggestion to make a wonderful stay even better!

The staff are very professional and friendly. We had booked 3 rooms and needed space for a family event. We were provided a nice complimentary room that was perfect. A member of our family requires a wheelchair accessible room. He was very pleased. The bathroom was perfect and he was impressed with all accessible features of his room.

The eggs were good but the brisket was not cooked enough for me. The lobster pot pie had to many potatoes. And a very deep crust, Otherwise, it was tasty once I removed most of the potatoes and crust. I liked the way the staff worked and saw no one standing around chatting with one another. They appeared to be well trained. I have stayed there before, years ago. There have been so many excellent changes that I wouldn’t know I was ever there before - especially the front entrance. I really liked the way you are supporting Island crafts and have them so nicely displayed. It was a welcome surprise that our room was upgraded. Learned after returning home that Laura Lee had that arranged. She had already given us a beautiful bouquet of flowers ,Before we left Hunter River.

We felt that we should have been notified about the wine that my daughter arranged to be put in the fridge, while we were checking in. She also paid for our room which we didn’t know about until after we returned home. Mark also paid when we were leaving. Our waiter charged us for breakfast, even though I told him that I was pretty sure I had read that it was complimentary. Apparently, we were suppose to be given a couple of chips upon arrival. Nevertheless, after I mentioned it to the front desk, we received a refund. When we registered, I mentioned that we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, was surprised that was totally unrecognized. The desk clerk did wish us a Happy Anniversary.

clean rooms clean common areas nice lobby my daughter and I loved the slide in the pool . the staff were awesome especially in the pool area . good people! restaurant was good and prices were reasonable one night they had live music . I would recommend and stay here again .

The only negative thing I can say is the location from the main attractions of pei . but if you don’t mind driving a bit longer , I highly recommend this place .

The resort is pleasantly located in its own grounds near O'Leary on the North Cape. This provided us with an excellent stopping place for a night and made me wish I had my golf clubs. Callahan's restaurant had a good and varied menu at competitive prices. Breakfast options were reasonably priced for a resort.

everything about this resort was 10/10. staff were friendly, everything was clean, we were able to use everything that was advertised. the water slide was a huge hit for my little guy.

it’s a bit of a drive from the usual tourist attractions in PEI - we booked our stay here knowing this, so we were prepared for some travel to busier parts of the province.

Loved the location, easy to get to. Room was spotless and very well maintained. A large facility but very quiet. Lots of people but didn’t feel crowded. Meals were delicious (breakfast and dinner) Make reservations.

The room is nice but some improvements could be made. The golf course looks nice but I didn’t have time to try it out.

The location is fairly remote. The bathroom is kind of strange as the room was updated but the bathroom remains at the 80’s. An update is needed to make the experience even better. Windows are lacking screens to keep the bugs out if you don’t want to use the AC.

My son loved the swimming pool, my spouse liked the golf course, we loved that it was dog friendly.

The restaurant was a bit disappointing, service was great the food was mediocre.

Great rooms and beautiful resort. lots for everyone in the family to do.

Restaurant is beautiful but not much variety, especially for kids. And a little on the pricey side
