Delta Hotels by Marriott Bessborough

Central location,close to all amenities and family who live close by.Suited us because although visiting family we wanted comfort and independence.A place we’ve wanted to stay at on previous visits and so it was good to live a little dream.

Poor wi fi and staff unable to sort or offer help , paying for parking,and thought better use of the lovely garden - tables chairs afternoon tea opportunities missed to enhance the business here as well as enticing outsiders to look in.excellent but

I love the Bess. The staff are exceptional, the building beautiful and central and the spot on the river outstanding.

It requires a little more maintenance. Our taps were not working properly. Our colleagues' taps simply came off in their hands in their room. And the restaurant menu needs updating. In a town full of spectacular restaurants, the food at the Bess is bland.

Nothing, we love the Bess! A place to refill water bottles or coffee in lobby would be nice More bikes to use (we had to wait a couple of times) No bath towels in room, only small towels, we used our pool towels instead

The historic feeling and class of the room, and the feeling of pampering from the login method of the wi-fi to the personalized welcome message on the tv. Gave a professional and pampered feeling to the stay. The shower was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the large desk with many spaces for plugs, and the specific lighting for reading while in bed.

I was a tad disappointed that I had to settle for a smaller bed as at my time of check in my booked room wasn't available. As housekeeping was delayed and I was unable to wait it was the only option I could have. The room was good, but wasn't the one I wanted to book. Other than that I would say the washroom not having a fan was a small negative but nothing too bothersome.

Very good room, great view, all was convenient. Food is very mediocre

Paid for everything - breakfast pointed like "included" at booking.com was only partially reimbursed. Outside parking is not free also. I asked for meeting room for 1 hour and the price was overwhelmingly high - I cancelled my booking and ofund found alternative solution

Chose to not have housecleaning during my stay but couldn't seem to get in room coffee for 2nd & 3rd day, Even though I asked at the desk and was told it would be delivered to my room, I never received it. Onsite parking is very limited.

There was an issue with my first room but 1 call and it was immediately solved by moving me to a new room. I'm so pleased with the quickness. Although I only booked 1 night through booking I did end up extending my stay. It's right on the river and right near where I need to be in central downtown Saskatoon. There is a shopping center about 3 blocks away. I didn't know this at the time of booking but the Jazz Festival is on! Do with that info what you will! The breakfast service was excellent, the simple breakfast was very tasty. Also! There are a couple of free bikes you can borrow from the front desk so you can bike along the meewasin trail! Please take advantage if you can.

Wonderful staff, comfortable bed, lovely view, beautiful building architecture & rich history, well-located, exceptionally clean. This is a hotel that takes hospitality seriously. As I was in town for just one night I was really only at the hotel to sleep, so I didn't partake of any of the amenities (pool, gym, restaurant), so I can't comment on those, though I suspect they'd be well above average. It was a dream of mine as a broke student in Saskatoon in the late '90s to one day stay in this grand hotel, and yesterday was that day. Thank you, Delta Bessborough, for exceeding my expectations!

Can't think of a single thing.

View from back patio was beautiful. Close walking distance to shops, mall and restaurants. Love walking along the river as well. Parking is an extra fee but at least we could leave our vehicle in the lot far beyond checkout time, giving us more time to shop before leaving the city.

The hotel smells ‘old’. I know it is old but it smells like there is cigarette smoke from years ago still in the walls or carpet or something. Also, the front lobby lounge is dark and dingy…needs some work to make it a more attractive venue for Happy Hour and such.

Never had breakfast, location was out of the way but i didn't mind .

As I was leaving for the day I informed the maid and asked her to fix up the room and restock the toilet paper , she didn't . I had to go ask for some at the front desk which was a bit embarrassing.
