A nice hotel with comfortable rooms and spacious balconies. The hotel is small but peaceful and it was great place to relax for a few days.

Breakfast is served in a small room and could get quite crowded at busy times. Restaurant staff could have been more friendly, especially for a four star hotel. The outdoor jacuzzi was out of service for the whole time we were staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, there were lots of mosquitoes even during the day and we were bitten quite badly during our stay. It might be worth visiting at times of the year when there aren’t as many mosquitoes.

Exceptional hotel. Has everything for a quiet stay. The pool and grounds were outstanding with enough sun beds for everyone. The staff and particularly krystijan could not do more for us. Kristijan particularly made our stay amazing. Petra in the spa reception was dedicated to every single person who came to the hotel. Nothing was too much for every single staff member.

We stayed for two weeks and the menu in the restaurant was not varied enough for such a long stay. We did not however venture out at night to find alternative options.

We had a very spacious room (no. 320) with balcony and lovely view of the garden. All service was very friendly and professional with a very homely, welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor pool was in a beautiful setting among the olive trees and the small gym had good facilities. The outdoor restaurant was adjacent to the beautiful garden and had a very wide menu with reasonable prices. (Note the hot appetizers are not starters but full meals at really good prices). The restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Milton the waiter and the supervisor Anjelka whose friendliness and caring attitude made our stay even more special. The reception staff were very efficient, particularly Birgitta who organised our trips with great efficiency. The Roman archeological site of Salona is just next to the hotel and is really interesting and pleasant for a walk, though a bit underdeveloped for tourism. Getting to Split is easy by taxi or there's a bus outside the hotel every 30 minutes. We hope to return later this year or next year.

We had a very nice stay here at the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff very helpful and friendly. A special shout-out to the lady working in the restaurant who is doing a great job and overseeing everything very well... Also fitness is equiped with good stuff. In 15minutes driving you are in the old center of split. But from the hotel you can go to other places in the neighborhood without having any traffic going in and out split. If we ever come back to split we will come back here.

We had the junior Ceasar suite, but had only one electricity point for the third person, which did not work... Also while changing on level 0 the girls from the spa constantly went in and out of the changing rooms and left the door wide open... Which was not very thoughtful even though at that moment no other persons were in the neighborhood...

The pools and spa were free of charge. It was great to be able to use them after a day of traveling. The cafe/bar area doubles as an informal dinning room and a breakfast room. The food options for breakfast were numerous and had in mind the various cultures of potential guests. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Mosquitoes were a big problem in the evening. I don't know it this is something that the hosts can control - perhaps with a different choice of plants and shrubs on the grounds? Guests should consider using some time of insect replant.

Junior suite was perfect for a family of 4 - a double and 2 single beds behind a room divider Reception staff helpful and welcoming. Sorted issues quickly ( the half used mini bar items left by previous guests!) The Roman ruins are worth a trip. Adults 40 kuna, children under 10 free Restaurant staff great - special mention to Milutin who put up with our many requests!! Worth mentioning the many bees around pool. There are neighbouring hives and they come to get water. Really placid - but so many that I would avoid the pool if had an allergy

Sadly there were a lot of other guests who smoked in restaurant and around pool. Really off putting when trying to eat with children Would prefer a non smoking restaurant Food and drinks quite expensive

We are a couple in our 40’s. We spent 5 days in Split which was an active holiday with outings everyday so to finish off our trip we decided to have a relaxing stay for 4 days at the Hotel Salona Palace and it did not disappoint. We arrived a little early for check in and the lady and reception welcomed us, advised we could leave our bags at reception and make use of the facilities while we wait for our room. So we headed to the pool level, collected a towel each and hit the loungers by the pool. We weren’t waiting long as within the hour our room was ready. We stayed in a room on the second floor facing the pool with a balcony. The room was of good size and the balcony was of a good size with a table and two chairs. The room was above the outdoor restaurant and we heard no noise at any time day or night. The pool area is well laid out. There are loungers in the shade and full sun, whichever you prefer. There is lovely background music which isn’t intrusive. The spa staff are always there and if they need to leave, will leave a couple of towels should anyone pop by for some. The pool is cold which is welcoming on a hot hot day. The jacuzzi is warm which is lovely when the evening gets cool. Now for the best part of our stay! The restaurant. Our days consisted of eating, lounging by the pool reading our books and swimming. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outdoor restaurant. The two gentle men working in the restaurant were fantastic. The gentleman in the morning always greeted us with a smile and was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Alway close by if you needed to order a drink. The gentleman in the evening (dark hair and beard) was so friendly. Even when the busy evening meal time came around and he was visibly busy, he was always polite, attentive and positive. Both men seemed happy in their work which makes for a relaxing enjoyable atmosphere. If you are considering staying in Hotel Salona Palace, do it! You won’t regret it.

Hotel is located in a quiet area outside Split. You will need a taxi which can be arranged by the hotel if heading into town. For us, it was exactly what we were looking for. Hotel restaurant serving great food although a little pricy but expected from hotel. Breakfast was great too, lots to choose from. Reception staff were very helpful with arranging excursions.

Unfortunately quite a few wasps around the pool but they don't seem to bother you.

The hotel and its garden is a peaceful oasis in the middle of a not so beautiful district. Garden and the area around the pool with a wonderful planting of olive trees. It is situated in the immediate vicinity of the historic site of the Salona, great for evening walks. The hotel is ideal if you have your own transport and intend to explore Split and its surroundings. The rooms are modern, clean, the bathroom is large and bright.

For a four-star hotel, breakfast is not varied enough. Not a single change in five days. The outdoor pool is beautiful, but unfortunately not heated, which is only for the particularly brave at the end of April.

This is an exquisite hotel with an exceptional location and high-end services. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had, the staff at the reception was so friendly, that I just didn't want to leave. I have been to many hotels in Split, but this one is by far the best.

I didn't like the fact that I had to leave so soon. And the fact that my stomach couldn't take more than I had for breakfast. There is not much you could not like about this hotel. :)
