Radisson Blu Hotel, Oulu

Great location. Very central, only 15 minutes walking from the train station. Excellent and very friendly and helpfull staff. Best breakfast I had during my 2 weeks in Finland! There was an art, clothes and food market in front of the hotel, on the square, when I stayed there. Also nice bars close by. You can rent a bike for 3 hours for free. Musea closeby. Biking to the nearest beach is 20 minutes. Beautiful view form my room. Nice bar area. Good restaurant and I loved the terrace in front of the hotel. IT WAS PERFECT.

I do think the room rates are a bit high, but that is Finland.

Very good hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable bed and peaceful room. Hotel restaurant was perhaps not the cheapest, but served good food. Maybe the best hotel breakfast that I've ever seen. Many pubs nearby. Seaside rooms must have good views.

One could have reminded about hotel's own parking space, which would have been cheaper and easier to use. Parking lot next to the hotel was full and entrances to nearest parking garage are a short walk away.

Super clean, comfortable and beautiful room with wonderful view (I was on the 6th floor). Staff here was helpful and nice, for example they called me taxi in the morning when I was in hurry. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Finland: lot of opportunities, coffees and healthy options like smoothies and juices. Next time I’ll go to the gym and sauna too!

Little bit noisy room even from upper floors. I could hear traffic and my neighbours phone ringing but that’s was the only minus from this lovely hotel.

Wide spread of breakfast choices. From cold to hot to the omelette station. Even a gluten free area speaks of how caring and detailed they are. Room was good. You have what you need to have for a comfortable stay. Fitness area was exceptional. I think it was because it is also operating as a commercial gym. I went in the mornings so I had the huge area to myself with all the toys. Olympic rings, pushing sled, battle ropes. I was in heaven. Sauna was nice and hot too but hey you're in Finland. It would be a disgrace if the heated water is warmer than the sauna.

Sauna room was not tidied when I visited so I saw beer cans and used towels but it would not be classified as messy and affect anything.

I enjoy the stay in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The gym was good and large, one could spend the whole morning there with sauna. My reservation included buffet breakfast which was really good. I think it is important to include breakfast as most of the Cafes in Oulu open after 9:00 am, so it would be difficult to get a proper breakfast outside. The location of the hotel is also good, just beside the market square and city centre. Around 10 mins walk to the train station where you can take train to Rovaniemi (the station near to Santa Claus Village).

Not really.....it is one of the best hotels that I stayed over the years. Just an suggestion is that it would be better if it can provide shuttle service (with additional charge) as there was only a few taxi outside Oulu airport.

Very friendly and attentive staff - particularly in restaurant with kids provided colouring sets etc. Very good breakfast - loads of choice. Probably best buffet I've had in Finland. Good size family room with space for sofa bed and cot. Very comfortable bed. Potty in bathroom. Reasonably priced.

Family room just had a bath with showerhead in it that was loose and wouldn't stay in place. This needed to be held otherwise it sprayed water everywhere. Bathroom a bit small.

Excellent location next to Oulu market square and Oulu river. Breakfast was huge and tasty and breakfast hall was exceptionally very spacious.

There was some hassle with mid-stay cleaning by the hotel. At check-in they asked what time do we want cleaner to visit (which would be a really nice idea when acting). However, the cleaning was not done until three hours after the agreed time. Even then, it was probably only because the cleaner happened to hear when we sighed down the hallway that the room had still not been visited. And even then, another one of the beds had been left untreated. Anyway, the room was very clean, no question about that. Classic shower curtain was somehow a confusing surprise at 2020's.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location, front office staff was very generous and kind, we arrived very late as we drove all the way from Helsinki Vantaa, we were starving and the restaurant was about to close, the chef kept the restaurant open until we finished eating. also the food was amazing and yum. checkout was supercool and fast. room was clean and spacious enough for a couple. it had all amenities sufficient for a one night stay. obviously the plus for this property is its location.

Beautiful hotel, room stunning, bed really comfortable, staff all really nice and helpful! Also great location and nice breakfast. Water and snacks available on arrival. Nice restaurants. Eco-friendly. Highly recommend for anyone!

The card and tv in room said breakfast mon-fri until 9.30 so we rushed there and it was until 11 am which was nice but would have loved it to be mentioned in the room. Breakfast was super busy at that time but calmed down little later.

Breakfast: The scrambled egg were not good. I prefer my eggs sunny side up. The motorcycle parking areas are too small. And as the fee for parking a motorcycle is the same at for a car they can actually just use the car parking slots. The small areas marked for mc-parking should be free to use.
