Location is amazing, right in the centre of Amboise. Parking available on-site. Spacious room and big bathroom. Helpful staff. A truly charming French property with character.

Can’t really complain as all the above positives are true. On first sight, the room appeared a bit tired with dated furniture and wall coverings - it would be 5 star with those features updated. The bathroom was lovely with an amazing view of Amboise chateau. The main bedroom was a bit darker with a small window. Also, our room was on the top floor which meant climbing up fairly steep stairs. We managed fine but it could be an issue for some guests so worth advising when booking if mobility is an issue. Parking access is a bit narrow but we managed fine with a Volvo XC60 size car and great to have the onsite option in such a central location.

We booked in having been let down in Bourges and deciding to head west, with Amboise being a good overnight stop. The hotel is in its own grounds accessed through a narrow gateway with secure parking. The welcome was warm and helpful although I did feel guilty letting a young woman carry my suitcase upstairs when I could have carried it myself. We booked into a suite which was very spacious (but I can't comment on the other rooms) and then headed into the old town centre and chateau - around 200-300metres - to explore and eat supper The bed was very very comfortable and the breakfast the following morning excellent.

The aircon was on all night, although we hadn't realised there was one and didn't therefore check whether we could have switched it off. Mea culpa

Great location five minutes walk from the centre of Amboise. Vey quiet, and good secure car parking. A beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast and our room was stunning. The staff could not have been more charming and helpful. Our only disappointment was we wanted to stay an extra day and couldn't because they were fully booked, but that was no ones fault. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to friends/family.

There was nothing to dislike.

The breakfast was amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful. We desperately needed to get laundry done, and decided to pay a ridiculous amount ( to this Canadian) and have it sent out. the moment there was a knock on our door and the concierge was standing there with the most beautifully laundered clothing, was seriously one of the best moments of my life :) How do French laundry's enhance this service so much?!

There is nothing to write intros section. The only thing that could have enhanced our stay was if it had stopped raining so we could have enjoyed the lovely garden.

Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely comfortable beds and very good sized rooms, very safe secluded private car parking area, extremely nice staff and great breakfast

like almost all French hotels, it was in need of a lick of paint in places and the loo seat in our room should have been replaced because it had chips in the white coating which exposed the wood beneath making not just unsightly but also unhygienic.

Fabulous location, bathroom generous sizd able to buy a bottle of wine from the hotel. Centre of town, beautiful boutique hotel

2 flights of stairs and no elevator. Thankfully we had packed down to 2 small bags so stairs not an issue. The bedroom quite small, but only a minor inconvenience. Bed comfortable.

It was a bit remote so you need to plan to go to Fougères for dinner/restaurants. Luckily it’s a quick drive and the town is beautiful with an incredible medieval castle that is well worth seeing.

La Pavillon des Lys is a very nice place close to the main street. The team is very professional and kind. We enjoyed our weekend stay in a calm room with exceptionally confortable bed! I have to admit that I checked for the brand to buy the same for our home 😅 The breakfast was very tasty. We would come again.

Beautiful property in perfect location. Parking onsite. Friendly staff. Well appointed room, amenities. Lovely breakfast. Amazing location - short walk to pedestrian area with cafes, shops and the chateau Amboise. Perfect spot to explore the area.
