Very clean and well presented. This isn't the latest format but the decorations etc were in good condition. Excellent service, particularly in the restaurant. This was a great example of what campanile does well. I stayed at a nearby campanile in Thiers and virtually the same price but Vichy was much better value for the care taken.
It is a shame that the buffet style starters have gone in many campanile hotels. I think that it was a Covid measure.

a double bed for a single person, that is always welcome ! the room was good for one person and even had a bath, which i find to be also a plus one
no fridge...maybe i missed that because there was a heatwave and i could really use something to cool me off...also the walls are not so soundproof...so if you have noisy neighbours...not so fun

Property has kind of a motel atmosphere. In a double story building, all rooms are in located a row, one by one, one like the other. Rooms are appropriately equipped with all what is needed for a one-night stay. Breakfast, however, is stunningly diverse.
Relatively expensive compared to standard which is provided. New and much cheaper hotel in direct neighborhood, accessible from the same parking lot.

Rooms are a little tired...we had dog scratches on the door jamb of the bathroom. There should be more tea and coffee options in the room. The restaurant is separate and may not be for sole use of the residents so booking probably essential.
