Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d'Albion

The staff were superb on reception , in the breakfast room and at the door of the hotel.

There are issues regarding the price charged by Booking.com that I shall be looking at legally when I return to the UK next week. The room booking also was not as described on the booking and confirmed by Booking com, I have taken photos . My wife and I are returning from a 14 night driving round trip of France and we used booking.com for our hotel reservations. The overcharging at one hotel by Booking .com was to say the least excessive and if not resolved I shall make public.

The location was just perfect ! in middle of the famous shopping street "Rue d'Antibes". The staff were kind and helpful. very fast check-out.

The Hotel's beach "Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière" was closed for renovation, So we had to use another beaches which were costly. I wish I had knew this information before booking this Hotel.

Deposit of 400 euros for 2 days was far too excessive. And 2 days after leaving the hotel I have still not yet received the deposit money back, even though I had no extra charges etc. Breakfast was also far too expensive.

Rooms were excellent, staff were very pleasant.

Location is awesome

Restaurant is not open except for breakfast. Beach service is horribly slow - 45 minute for water - finally got it myself - which the bar does not like! Beach staff were witnessed going to the bathroom and not washing their hands! Then taking ice to beach patron! In Covid! Really!!!

We asked on 2 seperate days the breakfast team if it was included in our room and they said yes. Upon check out we had to pay for breakfast.

room was really good, all staff super nice and professional, location is Great 5 minutes walk to main square, 2 min to shopping and 2 min to the beach. They also have access to a beach club (gray madmoiselle) 3 minutes walk away where they have beach beds reserved for the hotel guests. We didn't realise this until we stumbled on it by chance, when else where was full and we randomly found the place. But you can apparently book it via the hotel too. Breakfast was really good, and cosy in their inner garden. Super happy with our stay here.

Free WiFi was poor - really no longer acceptable to pay for decent wifi

The room was clean and good and staff extremely helpful and reliable. They helped us with all the restaurant bookings throughout our stay. Also the access to the spa in the sister hotel was very nice.

The fitness centre was a bit of a joke, no one can do a serious workout there. Room service could have been better, they came in late and forgot to refill basic things every now and then.
