Best Western Hôtel Des Voyageurs

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and cool enough with the window open. Because we had not thought to reserve a parking space in the hotel garage, we took our vehicle to a nearby parking facility, which was free. It was convenient enough! Even though we did not explore the city to the maximum, we recognized its charm. The view from the public park is worth seeing, for example.

The central location of the hotel meant that there was some noise from outside.

Nice stopover. Room was very large and spacious bathroom. Beds were lovely and comfortable. A fan and bottled water were provided which was excellent. The shutters meant we all were cool and had a nice night sleep. Didn’t hear much noise at all. Staff on reception were helpful. We did find a free car park around the corner. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for the money as it wasn’t cooked so limited selection of continental. But overall we had a lovely stay, the pizzeria was delicious and we stopped and had a drink right opposite the chateau which was beautiful with a great band playing. Would stay here again.

The check-in and check-out were both handled very smoothly, with off-street parking available for the payment of a supplement. The room was generously proportioned and made for a very pleasant stay.

We stayed in hot weather which made for a very hot stay due to the lack of air-conditioning. A fan was provided but proved to be largely ineffective.

The hotel is easy to reach on the outskirt of town and it is just around the corner from the castle and the centre. There were quite a few restaurants nearby and it is easy to find your way. The family room was spacious and it was well suited to the four of us.

We were most disappointed with the lack of a car charger even though we were told there was one. They pointed to a wall socket in the garage. On arrival, the restaurant was closed as was the main entrance (so we thought), but there is a different entrance just around the corner.

Great location, near the centre of Fougeres. Very clean and comfortable room and the bathroom was excellent. We had a king size room, plenty of space. No air con but a fan was provided. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and spoke excellent English. Very good breakfast buffet available. We stayed for two nights and loved it. Very good value for money.

Very comfortable bed and great outlook from the balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. The bathroom was also very nice with a good shower. The common areas are light and airy. The hotel were able to accommodate our request for secure parking.

Nothing in particular, The restaurant menu was a bit limited but I suspect that was probably due to it being late in the season.

Modern hotel in a good location for cafés, bars, restaurants, bakers and well a well stocked supermarket and shops. Within walking distance to visit Chateau de Fougeres and the old town. Our room was adequate for our stay with a comfy queen size bed. Facilities included a kettle, coffee, tea, milk and water was also provided. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided. There is also a very good French restaurant called Galon ar Breizh next door to the hotel.

Comfortable and spacious room, pleasant staff and good location. Our first night in room 208 was excellent.

Our second night in room 208 was terrible, noise from the room above was disturbing all night. Creaking floorboards and heavy footsteps but worst of all was constant water flushing sounds next to our bed as the toilet was flushed upstairs and showers taken. Really horrible experience. We won’t stay here again for that reason only.

Friendly staff.....garage parking...limited sobook it.....at centre of Fougeres at start of Walk to see town and castle....very good breakfast...looked like an excellent Restaurant in hotel but closed the night we stayed...would go back again to try it.

Rather quirky set up for " en suite" bathroom....shower opened into bedroom.....but was OK for a night.......mercifully at least the loo was separate!! To be fair everything else was very good..would stay again.

Located near the centre of the town. The hotel has a small garage and spaces must be booked. Breakfast is adequate. The weather was very hot, but the hotel had provided an electric fan.

No air conditioning. The hotel desk is un-manned after 10pm, so you have to let yourself in using a key-pad.
