Le Hameau

Le Hameau is an impeccable hotel, beautifully situated & a real haven of tranquility. Set in lush gardens, there are numerous places to sit & relax. The pool is fabulous. Everything is immaculately maintained & clean. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Each room is in its own individual building which gives a good sense of privacy. Excellent breakfast on the shady terrace. The staff were all super helpful, friendly & efficient, and clearly love the place. Two golden retrievers sleepily pottering around were a bonus!

Absolutely nothing!

We liked L’Hameau so much, we came back and stayed again a week later. This is a beautiful, well run property. We had a delicious breakfast on the terrace with views of the orange trees and the valley surrounding St. Paul de Vence. It was easily the best breakfast on our trip. During our first stay, our room was gorgeous and spacious, with terrific views. When we came back a week later, the room was smaller, but well appointed and comfortable. The village of St. Paul de Vence is a short walk away and easily accessible. The staff members were very helpful and cheerful. We really enjoyed talking with everyone. My sister wanted to move in and the owner said he would run and get a contract for her to sign.

The simplicity and friendliness of the hotel. Excellent facilities with a very attractive swimming pool. Our room was very cosy and we had a lovely view. The dinner was excellent and served in glorious surroundings. We also enjoyed our breakfast on an Individual terrace . We will definitely be returning

Difficult to find fault except to say that it is important not to lose the peace and simplicity.

The property was really lovely. Incredible plantings, fruit trees, roses, etc. all in magnificent bloom. And the young staff members were delightful, particularly Mara and Letitia who went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. The rooms were attractive and the decor unique with hand selected antiques.

Our rating would have been excellent except for the management. While trying to run a small hotel must be difficult, the hotel “rules & regulations” were so strict and prohibitive it was almost laughable. There were signs in the room and bathroom “strictly forbidding” drinks and food from outside. Food can be understood as it might lead to insects or mice, but drinks! Signage regarding mis-use of towels and other infractions made you feel unwelcome. Some wording of the signage literally threatened expulsion from the hotel! Perhaps they have had problems in the past, but there are polite, gracious ways to ask guests to comply to the rules.

The property is absolutely gorgeous from the view poolside of the valley, to the tables where we ate breakfast to the rooftop views … incredible. Pedro was hospitable and very friendly and our room was very clean and decorated with eclectic antique finishings yet felt new and modern. This is a gem that I hope I can come back to in the years ahead. Easy walk to village and parking was free

Loved it all

This hotel was fantastic! It’s clean and in a very safe, gated area in the hills of St Paul about 15-20 min from Nice. We loved to have somewhere quiet to relax in that felt family owned. There are two adorable dogs on site and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. They even took our package to the post office for us because they didn’t have deliveries come up there! 10/10 would stay again!

Lovely place to stay not far away from the heart of St Paule de Vence!

We have been there 15 years ago and in our memories this place was well maintained! Here & there few maintenance to be done but nothing really serious! Jacuzzi not working, solarium area’s not inviting, few painting here and there

Beautiful property, stunning location and the nicest owners and staff!!! Highly recommended. We travel often, this hotel is a new favorite! Excellent breakfasts, charming, creative and delicious dinner by owner/chef. Thank you for a memorable stay, we would love to return :))

We loved every single thing about Le Hameau. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is charming, comfortable and the grounds are beautifully kept. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. And you cannot beat the location!

The breakfast was the only lacking aspect of the hotel. Everything else exceeded my expectations. I absolutely loved the character of the hotel and the pool. I would definitely return

The breakfast could have been better. We had to ask for yoghurts although it was on the menu and it would have been nice to have more variety, eg cheese, eggs etc.
