The Originals Access, Hôtel Recouvrance Saintes

This is not a luxury hotel but it does exactly what you need, a clean confy bed when you are travelling long distances. We arrived at 1:30am because our channel crossing was delayed. We had a password, got into our rooms, one next to each other, at ground floor level and the car parked in front of the rooms. The rooms were clean, the bed confy and we were allowed with our dog. It is all we wanted at a great price!

All was good. Nothing to dislike.

Location, easy to find, plenty of parking, big supermarket round the corner. Excellent value for money. We've been using this hotel as a stopover on the way from Roscoff for years and have always had a good experience. We always have plenty of time to go into Saintes - well worth a visit.

Nothing at all, we've been stopping over here for years and can't see any reason to change this.

Was on ground floor which is what we asked for, the terrace at the back says closed after 10pm but the light is left on and a man was there at about 11pm talking very loud on his mobile for about 20 minutes but there are no staff there to stop this behaviour, so was very disappointed

Pan and croissants were nice and fresh, coffee good

I'm diabetic so not much for me for breakfast, the egg boiler is so slow, I waited 10 mins and eggs were still runny. No breakfast tea, I had to bring my own t-bag! Could be ham as well as cheese

The staff were very friendly and chatty. They gave us an excellent recommendation for where to eat and how to get around. Very pleasant experience. I also left something behind when I checked out. They emailed me about it and offered to look after it until I could pick it up.

Receptionist and location We used as overnight stay, very good location for the auto route, rooms comfortable and clean, the lady on check in was easily the most helpful and pleasant we have ever encountered, she is a credit to your hotel.

A small room with a small bathroom, but for this price for 1 night, it was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy.

It's an okay place to stay for one night. Good price, good beds and we also ordered breakfast which was good.

The room is like a little cabin on a boat. It's really tiny.

Easy access from motorway, quiet, clean and the room had air conditioning. This is exactly what you should expect from a budget hotel for a quick overnight stay.
