Le Pavillon Saint-Martin

Everything!!! The location was central but very quiet and the hotel building and surrounding buildings were very attractive and full of character .A small hotel which places emphasis on a personal high standard of service . The staff were super, professional, friendly and very helpful and welcoming .The room was spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable .The shower was great and the bathroom a good size . Breakfast was good . Would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend such a lovely establishment with a heart .

Couldn’t find a fault with anything

This hotel is remarkable for being in an excellently modernized building dating from 1522. That was not the only excellent part of staying there: the reception was warm and helpful; the room was well appointed without being too elaborate. Breakfast was a most enjoyable experience in a brilliantly adapted vaulted room. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian only square, which offers a choice of good restaurants, in the centre of the old quarter of Souillac.

Nothing, we hope to return.

Lovely old building full of character in the town centre. The entrance hall led to a large staircase with access to each floor (there was a lift for less able guests). Interesting pieces of furniture added to the ambience. We had a family room to accommodate 5 of us for a 1-night stopover. The room was spacious and had all we needed - it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was served in the renovated basement, with charactistic white stone walls. There was plenty of choice on offer including cheeses and charcuterie.

As an older building, the water pressure for the shower was a little low but the water was hot. Given it's central location, the parking was a short walk away but not a problem if you are organised with your overnight bag.

An absolutely excellent hotel, with clean and inviting rooms, heating in winter, strategically placed on the town square but very quiet, free parking round the corner, excellent breakfast with local produce (and we know what that means in France), very polite and helpful reception, made a super suggestion for a bistro nearby, where we had one of the best dinners. The town of Souillac is well placed if you want to explore this beautiful area (including the very picturesque but expensive Rocamadour). Highly recommended.

Great location and easy to find with secure parking. The staff were friendly and it was perfect for an overnight stay. We were a family of 5 adults and stayed in the family room and it was great. Ate out in the main square, just in front of the hotel and had a lovely meal.

Didn’t stay for breakfast as it looked quite expensive otherwise nothing to not like!

Upgraded on arrival, a lovely surprise . Felt very welcomed and valued as a client. Our lovely Host showed us to local cafes, and was able to recommend places to eat.. Our Room was super comfortable and very large. Our Windows opened to see the Cathedrale and the Market place the next morning. Being as it was December and very cold weather, the entire house was toasty warm. The furnishings and paintings complimented the building, we were "back in time" but in a good way. There is a lift to upper floors. A sheer delight was to take a wonderfully varied buffet breakfast in the "basement", a feature of the house and one we would highly recommend. For the price we paid, we feel, that this hotel was the best of our trip.

Beautiful building in a town centre and conveniently next to couple restaurants( be aware of the time as only one was serving hot food after 21:00). Welcoming host, waited for us to check in past the check in time. Clean.

It was a bit hard to find free parking, nearest available space was around 5 min walk away. We would have liked to have a kettle in a room to make a coffee/tea as it was long drive and we were leaving early in the morning again.

Friendly English speaking staff Elevator, no AC but had a strong ventilator Lots of nearby restaurants

The room could have used a little more cleaning The free parking is not always accessible as the street is closed for cars at some hours (we used a nearby public parking instead)

Great location. Excellent breakfast and the lady who helped with the breakfast service was lovely.

The family bedroom was tired and dated. The bathroom needs to be overhauled - old shower, fixtures and fittings. My son broke the toilet seat lid by accident - the plastic was old and brittle. We apologised and informed the owner so that she had advance warning and could arrange for a replacement seat before the next guests. Although she didn't ask for money towards the cost of a new toilet seat, she commented that she didn't know how much a new would be when she presented our bill. The inference was that we should be charged for damage to the seat. Having enjoyed our stay (and the lady who served breakfast was lovely), the owner's attitude at the end ruined it.

We have either stoped for a meal or stayed the night at Souillac for the past 12 years, whilst travelling back and forth to Spain. because of the fixed times of the year when travelling, La Pavillion Hotel had always been booked up. Having stayed there this visit, we realised what we had missed over the years. A lovely warm welcome from the English speaking host, Character hotel right on the town square. Clean spacious rooms, a comfortable night's sleep followed by an excellent breakfast. Private car park for about 6 cars. Without a doubt, we will try and book early for future visits. Highly recommended.
