Der Fuerstenhof

Overall my stay at Der Fuerstenhof was excellent. Personally I wouldn’t need anything better. I had a nice and spacious room with wide window, free Wi-Fi, clean and well designed bathroom and a toilet. Breakfast was very well prepared and served, with a decent amount and variety of food. The scrambled eggs and chunks of smocked salmon on a piece of fresh bread were particularly good.

As a fresh coffee drinker, I would advise to buy, perhaps, some better quality coffee beans. However, it could be just my taste. Otherwise, it was absolutely lovely.

The underground parking is a bit of an adventure but very handy. Mo aircon but there was a very quiet and effective fan in the room. Staff are friendly and speak greta English. Breakfast is very good.

Only one room key was a bit of a pain but receptionist helped me out to get into the room. Breakfast is great, unless you want a cappuccino, then you need to pay for that at a machine (there is filter coffee on the tables).

We arrived late, this was no issue and we went directly to our rooms. Frindly at reception

I was offered to park my car in the garage of the hotel. There was 1 place left. Unfortunately we have a big car and the garage is not giving much place to manoeuvre... so basically I did not succeed to park the car and I gave up. No problem for smaller cars, but an annoying parking (no impact on bed / breakfast / stay although)

Great Location, breakfast was great and the room itself nice and tidy! I can only recommend this hotel for any kind of stay, short or long!

I would prefer to have a freshly brewed coffee in the morning instead of a thermos which was used at the breakfast buffet. That was the only thing I could think of!

A very nice hotel located in the center of the town. We booked a room for four persons and it turned out to be a spacious apartment, which was a very pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, great breakfast. The town itself offers great restaurants and walking opportunities. Various day trips possible from this location.

It was confusing to drive up to the hotel as it is located in the old part of town. Some of the signs are meant for pedestrians, not drivers. Parking in the garage can be a challenge since the space is limited. Our windows had to stay open at night due to warm temperatures. The noise from the nearby bars and restaurants kept us up.

Great location in the town center. Spacious rooms that were well equipped. Decent breakfast. Wifi was good too (unfortunately I had to get some work done, so this was important).

Second hand smoke infiltrating the hallway (and to a lesser extent the rooms) on the first floor where we were staying. This was especially bad on the Friday evening.

Great and friendly staff at the front desk. He was very helpful. The location was great and access to so much right out the front doors of the hotel.

The decor was a little dates compared to my tastes, but the stay was great.

Everything went well as expected. The hotel staff are friendly, the room was spacious, the price is fair. The interior is not new, but overall clean and in good order. I've had worse for a higher price.

A really minor detail, but by total coincidence I saw that the top of the doorframe was full of dust. Not that I really care about that, since everything was fine, but … well, make of this what you will.

The staff was super friendly and we could spontaneously decide for a breakfast. The room was facing the plaza but it was very quiet with closed windows. The room was huge and parking space (not free though) were underneath the hotel.

Parking spots were a little small.

lovely historical building and furniture in top condition, high ceilings, great pizzas, very friendly staff. Located perfectly in the center of the city with short walking to anything you might require, including pedestrian precinct, shopping, dining and bars. Surprisingly quiet at night, though. Awesome value for money.

would prefer if the hotel switched to key cards, especially for the garage access
