Radisson Blu Hotel Leipzig

- Good hotel for a short stay in the center of Leipzig with a parking. Overall - all you need for an overnight is there. - Very friendly and efficient stuff. Conveniently located at walking distance from all the major central sights. - Late check-out at a very affordable uplift. - Clean. - Good price/quality ratio.

- Entrance to the parking is a bit tricky to find - has to drive past the hotel entrance, make a right turn and look very carefully for a P sign with a rather small Radisson card. Not easy to see in the dark time. - No coffee or water in the room. - Hotel is a bit old but nothing really dramatic.

Everything was really comfortable. The bad was perfekt and the room was big enough. Nice staff. Excellent brakfest and location.

It was clean, but behind the TV was really dusty. Some of the personal at the breakfast was not so polite. Unfortunately the parking is too small

Very pleasant hotel. Conveniently located in the centre of the city but well isolated from any outside noise. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of desk space for work and a very comfortable armchair. Lots of parking space.

A practice I particularly dislike: the hotel blocked additional funds on my credit card and it has been a 'pending transaction' for almost a week now despite full payment at checkout.

The location is excellent - close to the city centre, essential as there isn't a restaurant in the hotel. The Gewandhaus and the Opera are just across the street. The room was comfortable and had a free minibar. The lobby bar stayed open. Good breakfast.

The hotel is on the intersection of two major roads and there was a little traffic noise in the room (but not enough to put me off the hotel). Checkin staff did not recognise that I had already paid.

It is a good hotel in a great location for symphony concerts and the opera. Staff were very polite and helpful. Nice breakfast. I read so much about how Leipzig was in a dreary state in 1989 when the wall came down. They have done a beautiful job of restoring this city. It is clean, lively, and safe as far as I can tell, with a lot of people on the street enjoying it. The room in the front was much appreciated.

The room was chilly I thought, and fiddling with the room temperature control seemed to do nothing to change that.

Great bedroom. Overall good. While I object to extra charges for dogs in hotels here they had some logic in place. €15 per dog, for the duration of the stay - "Cleaning Charge" But still, most dogs are clean and why x2?

The bar was uncomfortably hot mid afternoon. Reception staff mixed... Breakfast room too busy - take yours to the bar, which is cool in the morning:)

The breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious with a lot of drawers and sitting places. View from the window was direct to the university and old town. As such, the location was perfect, right at the edge of the old town. Lots of (paid) parking places for guests (if you figure out that you have to press a giant yellow "button" which I didn't :D).

No electric kettle or coffee machine in our room.

It was a personal issue, but the whole furniture in the room(junior suite) is not child-friendly type, e.g., very sharp edges everywhere and mirror-like glass doors, etc. Again, it's because our special occasion traveling with 2 years old baby but better to note this for family travelers like us.

The breakfast buffet is in my openion the best I have had in all Europe, USA and Canada. We have stayed at Radisson Blu in Leipzig several times on our roadtrips to and from Italy. And the breakfast buffet is allways fantastic, actually worth a little detour

This time the bedding felt a little damp, probably caused by too high humidity from the HVAC.

We paid extra for a premium room and had room 722 on the top floor. It was fully equipped and had a great view of the Gewandhaus and the plaza and the city. The even-numbered rooms on the seventh floor have this view. It’s worth the money. The hotel’s car park is very convenient but costs €24 per day, which is probably not surprising for the center of Leipzig. The Gewandhaus is a three-minute walk, perfect for going to a concert. The breakfast was good with a large selection.
