Benczur Hotel

Quiet neighborhood. Good breakfast serving hot and cold items. Close to transportation. 5 min walk to Metro then 10 min to the center of town. Just minutes away from the City Park with a zoo, circus, botanical garden, museums, Szechenyi Thermal Baths and Pools... AC in the room as well as a refrigerator. Clean establishment with courteous staff.

Nothing to mention here....would totally recommend

Location is great!, Situated on a quiet street its a few minutes walk to the main thermal spa, Heroes square, museums, Once Upon a time Castle, skating lake etc and 15 mins walk into the hustle & bustle of the city & Danube. The Metro is literally round the corner if you didn't fancy a walk but we walked everywhere. Our breakfast was included & was delicious. Rooms are basic but absolutely fine for us as we were out all day. There's a safe in the room, beds were comfy & water was nice & hot. There is also a free luggage store which was very handy. This is not a luxurious hotel but its honest, clean, great value for money & the staff were all really lovely!

There was nothing we didn't like, the only thing we can think of is the water takes an age to drain away after using the sink.

Excellent location for a walk in the city park, attractions, close metro station for public travel. From outside it seems as an older building but inner facilities overwrite the first impression 🙂 Welcoming stuff, comfy beds, all as booked and promised. Endless variety of food at breakfast. I can just recommend it 👍👌

Cleaning of the room was not in my case as thorough as it should have been 😐

Location and food were very good . staff at the bar was very polite and very professional. coffee excellent.

cleanliness of the bedroom. no body wash in the bathroom. Body wash not refilled and the room not cleaned despite request. Main bedroom ceiling light also not repaired despite complaint.

if you like quite hotels (you can properly rest and sleep without any noise) this is a place to be. hotel is quite functional and quite my style (old fashioned yet functioning properly). location is amazing, you are far from the crowd when you want to be and just within a few mins you are in town, just simply walking. restaurant was okay and they have the little bar in the lobby area which was nice too. 1 min from the hotel is a great espresso bar.

i did not like the staff, the person who welcomed me.. the personnel at the reception desk were not welcoming at all and it looked like (to me) they really did not like what they are doing.. he also missed to share the internet info and when i got down to ask for the same, he pointed out with his head that i missed the paper with the password which I did not find professional.. they still did their job (bare min) but if it was for staff, i would not go back.

The hotel is located on a quiet street, not far away from the Heroes Square, City Park and Andrassy Street (5 minutes away on foot). The room was medium in size with a flat screen TV, 2 small tables and 2 chairs and a dressing. The bathroom was a little bit small and it had a tub. The breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from. In every night we took our dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was very good with plenty dishes to choose from ( The Benczur schnitzel was huge). Overall it was a very nice experience and the hotel exceeded our expectations.

The only negative part of the hotel i can think of is the old furniture in the room.

A pleasant hotel in a great location. It's in a quiet street but only a 5 minute walk from Heroes Square and the Museum of Fine Arts, so it's a great place to start exploring Budapest. My room rate included breakfast, which was very generous with a lot of options.

The bed (mattress) was not great and was honestly a little uncomfortable. Other than that the room was of a very good standard. One of the staff at reception was very pleasant but the other one was comically surly. It was like he was auditioning for "pissed off hotel employee".

On arrival to the hotel we were allowed leave our luggage in a secure room, as check-in wasn't until 2 p.m.. When we did check-in and as we had booked two rooms, both rooms were on the same floor which made it easier for all to meet at various times during the week. All were happy with the en-suite rooms, which were clean and the beds very comfortable. There was a great variety of food for breakfast and a lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room. All staff that we interacted with were both friendly and helpful. Valuables were left in the room safe and the location of the hotel is perfect to access the City and it's public transport.

Very clean, comfortable beds, good and safe food, very good service. Only 3-4 tube/metro stations from Budapest main attractions. Only 30 minutes walking from Budapest railway station/ or less by bus. Quiet and safe location, in the embassies area of Budapest. 24/7 reception service, touristic informations for free, good wifi. A preferred hotel for sportif teams or for city-break lovers. They speak fluent English and German.

Good to mention that they have two categories rooms - with two different prices - renovate rooms and the other, from 4th floor. I booked in different city-breaks the both of them. Both are clean and with comfortable beds, with the same very good breakfast included or not(that depends in the offer you chose), but the old fashion rooms are without balcony, with old model tube-TV and old bathrooms. The plus is that these old rooms are on the 4th floor and with garden-view.

Great location, good private parking, decent breakfast and overall good value for money

View from the balcony is dull (over the roof of the restaurant), breakfast juice and coffee could be better
