NH Budapest City

The fact that we had to check-out from the hotel at 02:45 and a breakfast box was given to us as we told them 2 days before. This was very useful and made us really happy. We enjoyed the Spa area and have used it every day.. The breakfast was okay. The location of the hotel is really good. Staff were professional. The price of the hotel is much cheaper than other 4 star hotels in the city.

Can someone please explain why a room would have a tiny Wardrobe like as if its a kids room? There is plenty of space in the room to have a nice, big wardrobe. The room has no kind of draws to put basic stuff which I found this so annoying as I had no where to put my items such as perfumes, creams other than leaving it on the floor next to my bed. The shower room was very old and needs to be renovated as soon as possible if they want to receive higher feedback rating. One of the lifts was out of order.

In a quiet and communicative place, nearby is the island of Margaret, very nice for walks and sports, for children and activities. Around the hotel there are many restaurants, theater with events, bakeries, shops. The bathroom is comfortable and large, the rooms have nice wardrobes, mini fridge. The girl with blond hair at the reception is an exceptional professional. Very kind and always ready to help. We appreciate the price, which was good for what we received. Thank you for everything!

The hotel does not have the atmosphere of 4 stars. The lobby could be a little more cozy. We expected a change of bed linen at least on the second day.

All the staffs were nice and motivated. The facility was not so new but everything was well cleaned and renovated. Buffet breakfast was very good using selected materials and offering variety of choice. I was very impressed with the peeled grapefruits and oranges which shows the kindness and consideration of cooking staffs on easy to eat for the guests.

I have to mention that the location was much distant than I've expected from the central area of Budapest. But it should be a good location for those guests using Nyugati train station.

Breakfast grew on me, not as excellent as another hotel in Budapest but fairly good and with little details. Much better than other hotel I use on the Buda side. Room was quiet, as I requested, even though if neighbouring rooms were noisy, you could hear everything. But isolation from the exterior good. Bed very comfortable. I had to complain to reception 1 night, but they called the other room and everything was fine. Rooms have to doors to isolate the noise form the corridors

The staff were very friendly and the location was perfect for us to explore the city. There was a lot of choice for breakfast as long as you went down early. The room was very clean and the pillows were lovely and fluffy. It was also very handy having a luggage store as we checked out at 12pm but weren't flying until 10pm.

The room was adequate for our needs, but the beds were a little hard and the room was roasting hot. We had to ask the front desk if they could take a look at the heating as it wouldn't turn off and it was too hot to sleep. At the same time we asked for the shower gel to be filled as it was empty when we checked in. The heating was resolved, but the shower gel was never filled. I also believe that there was a sauna on site, but we were never shown where this was or how to access it.

The breakfast is great. The location is very good, almost central and next to the Danube.

The cleanliness is superficial. I stayed 5 nights and the linen was not changed. The room is not always supplied with hygiene products. Although there was an espresso machine in the room, the responsible staff did not refuel with coffee capsules. Initially I didn't have an expresso in the room, I had to go and ask for one, although the description of the room included an expresso. The same situation in the case of house slippers. The minibar was not fully equipped with the products from the menu.

Arrived in the early hours from a delayed flight. Very tired but check in process was smooth and, despite a system glitch, receptionist was efficient and friendly, and printed invoice followed later. Room was excellent. Warm, clean and beds were very comfortable indeed. Good curtains and great sound proofing meant that we could sleep off jet lag without a glitch. Location was ideal for walking the Danube and NH Hotel was a very positive experience.

Bottles of water in the room would have really helped. Travellers tend to get dehydrated and having to walk the streets in an unfamiliar city to get water is annoying. Otherwise, all good!

Good location, although the neighborhood is a little bit old and not so clean as the region on the other side of the Main Street, which is the area surrounded by many historical places. Facility is OK and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

When I wanted to take a shower in the morning at around 5:45 am, the temperature of the hot water is not good. I kept the hot water running for 2 minutes and the temperature was still only about 30 degrees maximum, which was not comfortable for winter time. I had no choice but finished my shower quickly. I hope the management can notice this situation and prevent it from happening again.

Unbeatable location, large and comfortable room, comfortable bed and pillows, phenomenal service. The breakfast in the room service and in the restaurant was among the best we ate anywhere in the world. What a treat! We felt so welcome and pampered from the moment we entered the lobby until the moment we left. The hotel manager is a kind person and has always been around and willing to help with any questions. And his staff created a charming and personal experience at this beautiful hotel. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

We were greeted by a very kind and nice receptionist who made our check in process very easy. They accommodated my bed type request. Breakfast is varied and delicious. Room was clean and it was cleaned every time as requested. Despite the hotel being in a very central location, it was very quiet. I was able to sleep and rest very well. On our departure day, they very kindly helped us with booking a taxi for an early hour and prepared breakfast boxes. Overall I was pleasantly impressed with the excellent service and kind attitude of the staff which they displayed in various situations and made me feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is great and the location is perfect - very central and easy to get to different tourist attractions. I would recommend this hotel to other guests. Thank you NH Budapest City.
