Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla, an IHG Hotel

The staff were amazing. The beds were very comfortable. It was located close to the Apollo Hospital, which was exactly what we needed. It was nice to speak to many other guests also visiting the hospital too. The view we had of the park was lovely and meant we got to see some of New Delhis wildlife. The foyer and down stairs restuarant have been nicely upgraded and a stark contrast to the old parts of the hotel. The checks of cars and people coming and going from the hotel were reassuring.

The rooms are in desperate need of a renovation, and the cleaning could definitely be elevated. Checklists may be helpful for the cleaners to ensure things are not just clean on the surface but completely clean. In saying this, it wasn't as dirty as some places I have stayed in New Zealand. The fridge in the room leaked, and a microwave would have been a game changer. There was a complete lack of any vegan options in both the hotels restaurants and Cafe. As I follow this diet for medical reasons, it led to me becoming a little unwell. Just some alternative milk and at least a couple of vegan options would benefit many of your guests.

I would have preferred to have made my own coffee and had access to a coffee making machine. I like several cups in the morning and see no point in having to keep asking staff for this. A better (more comprehensive) selection of fruit juices would also have been nice. The room was very nice and of a generous size but could have done with more sachets of coffee and milk. I did ask for additional supplies but these never came.

Could you offer half board rates? The area close to the hotel is extremely busy (on a heavily congested road) and accessing places to eat not very easy. A half board rate would have been a welcome booking option and facilitated greater choice.

Check-in and check out were smooth and quick. Breakfast had lots of options. They took customised order for breakfast as well. The room was clean. The reception desk and concierge were very friendly. We requested a birthday cake and Ms Shivani prepared a desk with balloons and a cake. My kid loved it. Mr. Shani of reception was also helpful. Metro is a bit far away. We used autorikshaw and cabs most of the time. The Pacific Mall Jasola was nearby, and had a food court.

Housekeeping was a bit slow. But nothing worthy to complain.

The hotel is well presented, the lobby is welcoming and large to accommodate check ins of larger groups. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathroom is the best feature as the shower and toilet have individual doors making it very comfortable to use. The cake shop is very handy to take gifts for our family. The pastries are delicious

The staff need to be trained further in delivering better customer service to a level at par with the international standards. The staff are lovely however it is clear that the management has not provided the training that enables them to anticipate customer needs as opposed to reacting to customer complaints.

Great Breakfast and good front desk, and front line staff. Makes your return to hotel very good. Breakfast area is great and good spread of food, especially with the cold noodles and congee... Pastries and the tea are superb.

Few things. 1. Had a bed which is a little damaged. 2. Power points not working and cannot plug in .Badly damaged by some guest I think! 3. At the breakfast spread there is a little hiccup at the cold noodles and congee, my favourite section. indication of the congee and miso all mixed up.... congee condiments are not there, but I can find other items to fill the congee. The cold noodles sauce is no where to be found. I found it after a few days that it is in a big kettle . should have indication that the kettle contains sauce for the cold noodles:)

absolutely loved being able to get away from the hustle and bustle on New Delhi and into a peaceful place to relax, workout and eat great food. the breakfast buffet is amazing. The waiting staff, cleaning staff, door staff and kitchen staff were absolutely great and couldn’t do enough for us. Such a pleasant experience:)

the one thing that began to bother us was the constant hounding for a review on trip advisor after everything. Cup of tea for 800 rupees in the coffee shop would be followed by “please if you could give us a review on trip advisor about the tea we would….” before the tea was finished. before we had finished our breakfast the manager had approached us on our first day and asked “would you please give us a review on trip advisor because we need to increase our revenue” - this made us chuckle but it got a bit annoying by the end of the trip.

The service and attention paid by the Chef Dhoni was exceptional and other staff were also polite and helpful.

The staff was very helpful and diligent. The hospitality and services were way better than the Crown Plaza Gurgaon. I really enjoyed my stay and would surely plan my leisure activities here in future.

The rooms lacked few amenities such as Speaker and room automation technologies such as automated curtains or WC offered at Crown Plaza Gurgaon. The food menu also seemed limited. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay here and appreciate the staff's hospitality.

As I reached the property by Bike, security staff offered to park my expensive superbike along with other bikes and from another entrance. as i didn't want anyone to fiddle around (from my previous experience all over India) with my motorcycle, i wanted a secure & safe parking near lobby. it took more than 10-15 mins for them to settle it (i had travelled more than 1400kms by road on that day). i wish they take care of motorcycle travelers in future.

The hotel is quite good and comfortable in terms of facilities and decor. For me personally it was located close to Apollo hospital that was the purpose of my visit. I stayed in room 9022 which was good and clean. The views from the room were good especially in the night when the lights came on. The room was reasonably well appointed including ironing facilities . I liked the set up of the bathroom with separate toilet and bath areas being very convenient especially when sharing the room.

I had to move rooms a few times as the mattress was uncomfortable or room was not clean enough. I stayed in the hotel for 4 weeks and there were times when room was not cleaned due to miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. Clearly there was no seamless process in place for guests to leave housekeeping messages. The Housekeeping staff are really good but my messages were not getting to them hence disruption in services. I fault the management on this and not the staff on the frontline
