Summit Le Royale Hotel, Shimla

The place was walkable from the Mall road but by driving it was a long way around as Mall road is not open for all vehicles. Walking up from Mall road in low temperatures is not for the faint hearted especially people with weak hearts from the cities. The place is quite close to major sites like Ropeway, Jhakoo mandir, mall road , Christ Church, and staff is quite supportive. The facilities are basic and the place is quite cozy feel at home. The geyser doesnt work in low temperatures. The rooms were big and the view from the 3rd floor is amazing especially when it is snowing.

The cabs do not come up especially since the roads are steep but thats a problem with all the hotels

Hosts of the hotel are very friendly and welcoming, gives us homely feeling. We reach there late on the day of our check in, the host guided us for safe and fastest route and also offered us room upgrade the next day but due to his unavailability it didn't happen. Hotel is at prime location and all tourist spots are at walking distance from the hotel. Food quality is very good. Also rooms are very warm, and they provide heater in the room accommodation only which is good.

For the price we paid, room quality was not great. On the first day i felt like staying at the lodge. But it may be because of our room as we choose the cheapest deluxe room of the hotel. But still I didn't like the room as we paid too much for the stay and it was not worthy. But the host of the hotel made our stay nice and gave very welcoming treatment.

The rooms were clean and everything was excellent. FOOD was quality and also reasonably priced .

Only this was height at which it us located but it doesn't matter when you are being offered 5 star facilities. Thanks 😊

Staff, Hospitality and Location is excellent. Staff is very cooperative, soft spoken and helpful. Walking distance from mall road plus we got a wonderful view of the city from our room.

Property is quite old and needs some maintenance. We didn't have problem with it but not all guests will have same expectations as ours.

Is high up the hill not recommended for old people

The location is difficult to get to but has glorious views.

The bathroom needs to be cleaner. The wall tiles are old and broken and overall needs to be cleaner

The place was awesome and the staff (Babloo & Ghanshyam) were very friendly.

If you don’t you have your own vehicle then reaching to hotel from main city would be quite hectic since you have to climb the uphill road to reach the hotel. (Approximately 1 km from Mall Road.)

Very close to Jakhu and Mall Road with gorgeous views of the valley. Good Dinner and Buffet breakfast.

Wifi was intermittent.
