Starhotels Cristallo Palace

Arrived very late at night after a delayed flight so was happy to find a comfy bed with decent pillows. We both slept really well. Good shower and basic toiletries provided. Our room was on the 7th floor with a lively view of the hills surrounding Bergamo.

The breakfast was ok but no more than that. There was the usual cold cuts, yogurts, cereals, cakes and pastries and a small selection of cooked food. The main problem was that only one staff member seemed to be dealing with everything so frequently items would need to be replenished and this didn’t seem to happen. I wanted to have yogurt and fruit but gave up waiting for the fruit to come. I opted instead for some hot food but didn’t finish it as the quality wasn’t that great.

Workers welcomed me so well, like they were my own friends. Especially administrator when i arrived. Room was clean and comfortable. It was my first time to travel alone and the administrators work was wonderful. I enjoyed to talk with them and their open mind helped so much to relax and take it easy. Also asking some help was not the problem there. Guests were always welcomed, opened arms.

In my room, lighting did noise and it didnt work correctly. It’s not that bad, because I understand housekeepers hard work. I have worked as an housekeeper aswell, but if company/hotel is asking high price for the room, then lighting in rooms need to be working correctly.

The staff and the hotel were excellent and if I was there for one night it would have been perfect as only a few minutes from the airport and the conference centre, however I was there for 5 days and it is on the outskirts of town so 20-25 walk into town and cant get taxis on the street and buses were not regular so if you venture out of the hotel its an hour walking just to and from town.

I would definitely stay here for business as I said the staff and hotel are perfect however would not stay here as a tourist too remote.

I appreciate the attendant who greeted us at the front desk after 12am when we checked in. We had traveled for 10 hours and were very tired and grumpy. He showed us tremendous patience with a smile on his face throughout the check in.

Key into the room was awesome! It was an actual locking key with a massive brass ball at the end. It's not something you can place in your pocket however and it's standard to leave your key with the front desk upon walking out of the hotel. This is a charming touch, however having 2 swipe keys would make movement in and out of the hotel a bit more efficient

First of all, the location is awesome if you need a ride to the airport in the early morning: 17 min by bus (we took a taxi, the bus timetable was not suitable for us at 4 am) and around 7 min by car. We haven't tried the breakfast but had dinner right after check-in and it was great for the value/money ratio, delicious and fast. The room was spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even found scales for our baggage :) We had a problem at 4 am with ordering uber, so the hotel manager ordered a taxi for us (it was 25 euros to the airport). In addition, have to say that there is a "pillow menu", where you can choose the most suitable one :) Here is my respect, hotel pillows are usually very high/large to me.

The room was clean. Staff was very nice and booked us taxi to airport. Also it had pillow menu and we got very comfy pillows. Bed was comfortable as well. Got a free room upgrade. To sum up, for one night it was a good stay and airport is very close drive.

The location didn't seem the best, was a little skechy walk till center, especially during dark hours and public transport wasn't that close and taxi impossible to get. The room didn't have refrigerator, it was taken out but luckily stuff stored things we had. Also the water in the bath was dirty. I would say it was little bit overpriced.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, bright. The staff is kind and can serve you. While we arrived after midnight to check in there was no problem. Breakfast has a great variety and is served in a large bright room. The hotel's parking is in the basement in a protected area, but there is also a convenient parking lot outside the hotel. In the morning we left some clothes to be washed and in the afternoon they were ready. I recommend it

the location is great for flight in the morning, but far from the center. we had a rented car and the parking free in front of the hotel was almost empty so no problem for park. The room is a bit small but enough for one night. We left the hotel early in the morning, so the experiencie was simply ok.

the key holder is super heavy, so you have to leave the key in reception no way to bring it with you..

The location is good, 10 minutes by bus from the airport, 20 minutes on foot to the center. The room and bathroom were clean, the breakfast delicious. The advantage is the 24-hour reception.

The quality of the hotel does not match the price, there were not many facilities. Rooms facing the street are quite noisy. We didn't get the wi-fi password, you should ask. In addition, the hotel charged me a fee from my credit card - 6 euros, I don't know why, because I paid for my stay online and paid the tourist tax in cash.

omg, this is one of the most interesting hotels I have ever visited. it’s like a time capsule but not because it’s old but because it was styled in retro! have you ever seen those old movies from 70-80? this is the place. the staff is strict but helpful. the kitchen was closed when we arrived but they let us order food from the outside. thank you for that!

there were couple of homeless people outside but staff tried to do everything to ask them to leave.
