Hotel La Tosca

The location is good, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the price is great. I was traveling solo and my little room with a twin bed was just fine. It had a balcony where I could have breakfast and it had a fridge so I could store yogurt to eat later. Also, it was quiet. I didn't hear any other guests from my room. The staff said they can order food from The Hangout restaurant nearby if you don't want to have to go somewhere for dinner.

As an American, when I ask for cream for my coffee, I mean half-and-half or coffee mate, not plain milk. So I didn't enjoy my coffee but that's just my preference. I didn't like the steep long walk with some stairs from the taxi stand (the farthest point that cars can go) which I had to drag my suitcase along to get to the hotel. I learned later that you can arrange to have it done for you for a fee. I didn't like that breakfast is between 8:00 and 10:00. I wake up at 6 or 7 and have to wait so long for coffee. I wish there was a coffee maker in the room or coffee set-up in the lobby for early-birds (with coffee cream!)

This property is on a great location a short walk from the centre of Capri. We received a very warm welcome, the staff were amazing and the hotel was immaculate. The manager was extremely helpful and gave us very detailed information on where to go and what to do including recommendations for a beautiful restaurant and a fantastic walk away from the crowds. We would not have enjoyed our stay on Capri without his valuable input.

This hotel is in a perfect location, so close to the main part of town but on a quiet street. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment that was brand new and so clean!! The breakfast was fine, and the staff and host amazing and helpful!! They helped with suggestions of things to do and places to eat and they all were amazing!! I wish we stayed longer than 2 nights!!

Everything was great, the only thing I would have liked was a better view, but there are so many places in Capri to see the view, everything else made up for the not so great view.

Everything from the location to the cleanliness to the friendliness of the staff absolutely exceeding my expectations. This is a special place to stay, I plan to visit again. In all my travels, staying here provided me with special memories. The walk up to the property is majestic and the views are very peaceful, you could even smell the stand below cooking their waffle cones where they sell gelato and lemon and orange slush. Absolute magic

Warm welcoming, friendly and smiling staff. Hotel was clean and served good breakfast (not buffet). Good bed. The A/C is also great in the hot summer moths. Location is good, be prepared to walk a lot in Capri.

Nothing that the hotel could do better, there is a abandoned looking house just next to the hotel and is part of the breakfast view. Without that it would be 10/10.

We had a wonderful stay at La Tosca. Owner Ettore and his team were extraordinarily friendly and helpful, sharing lots of good tips about the island, best beaches for our kid, restaurants and hikes. Hotel room was upgraded at the arrival with a large terrace with a fantastic view of Capri and the charter-house of St. Giacomo. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast time was perfect with a nutritious set of breads, fruits and drinks. La Tosca location is very convenient, just couple of minutes away from the Augustus gardens and less then 10 minutes away from the famous piazzetta. Highly recommended

Pristine, simple, well appointed common areas and rooms. Perfect balance for the vibrant beauty of Capri. Felt like a calm oasis after a day of walking around the island. Very zen-like. Service was top notch. Often it’s tough to find a good balance between personable and professional but this place wrote the book on that. I felt like a valued guest the entire time but with sincerity and also recognition of my privacy. Travelling on my own can have its challenges (I normally travel with my husband but wanted a solo trip) but Ettore and the rest of the staff made it seem completely normal and I was well attended to. Every morning Ettore would sit with me and plan out an itinerary that allowed me to see more than I imagined. Also even though it was the beginning of August and the island was swarming with tourists, I often found myself exploring the sites on my own or with just a few others. He directed me to incredible places taking into account my desire to walk a lot (I got 28,000 steps one day!!!) He took care of dinner reservations again recommending based on my tastes. Of course I will be back!

That I couldn’t stay longer!

As soon as we got to the hotel, they took our bags and had us relax on the hotel patio with a complementary refreshment even though our room was ready. This immediately set the tone for the amazing service we received the entire stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a perfect sized patio. The breakfast that they offer is delicious. They also offer beer, wine, limoncello, water and other beverages throughout the day. The location is a short walk to the town center, but far enough back that you will experience tranquility. We would absolutely stay here again!!

The location is amazing. Breakfast meets all your needs - bread, croissants and jams, butter, cheese spread and Nutella basket. Also, Cappuccino and coffee, tea and juices, fresh fruit basket, yogurts and cereals - all overlooking the Fariglioni and the Augusto’s Gardens! The same terrace offers a selection of wines, Prosecco, beers, and refreshments for an afternoon and before dinner break. The rooms have the automatic rolling metal outdoor shades for the outmost dark room effect which is amazing while on vacation. Excellent stay.

Hotel la Tosca I was a guest at the Hotel la Tosca for four nights with a companion. Ettore and his staff always looked after us pleasantly from reception to departure. The hotel was very well maintained and always clean. The room was simple but nothing was missing. Upon arrival, the glazing on the terrace was being installed so that breakfast could be enjoyed even if the weather was bad. The rolls and croissants were always fresh, sometimes still warm. We felt very comfortable, especially because of the always friendly staff. I will visit the hotel again on my next stay in Capri.
