Hotel Al Madarig

Great location just above a beach, where you could spend time either on the public section or pay 15 Euros for sunbeds and umbrella. We chose a room with a balcony and had fabulous views across the bay. Free car parking at front of hotel (if you can get in) or private secured car park costing 10 Euros per night (which we thought was a bit excessive!). Hotel was very clean and the breakfast room was a delight, with lots of modern art displayed. The breakfast was good with cereal, plenty of fruit and other items. Staff were all very pleasant and spoke good english. We used the hotel free shuttle to get to a beach further along the coast. We took advantage of having free beach towels as a welcome offer for our duration. Lots of restaurants in the town to suit all. We were so pleased to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room at no extra charge, what a luxury !

Cost of car parking could have been a bit cheaper or included in price of hotel as most travellers are arriving by car.

Wonderful location, very nice and clean rooms, welcome staff and transfer- golf car that can take the guests to the big beach about 10 min away. Hotel does have the access to the beach (hotel is a bit on a hill, beach is downstairs, but it is easy to reach. Hotel provides the discounts for the restaurants and a welcome drink or a beach towels as a welcome compliment.

Unfortunatley, breakfast was quite poor, but next to the hotel there are a lot of opportunities to have it. I wouldnt recomend to include your breakfast in the price, since there was literally just a few options: boiled eggs, few frozen croissants, yogurt and a automatic coffee machine.

We have stayed here several times and our recent stay was as wonderful as ever. The location is fantastic; directly opposite the sea, a short walk to the beautiful port and right next to excellent restaurants. The rooms and breakfast are excellent, too (we sat outside every morning, looking at the sea as we ate delicious local specialities), but as good and as important are the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, with a special mention given to Mariella, who made our stay extra special. This hotel is highly recommended.

Good location in this pleasant small town by the sea, view of sea from room, generally clean and comfortable. Easy parking (in off season). Good value for money

Breakfast was ample, but staff were unfriendly when we asked for a bite to eat slightly early in order to get to the airport.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Madarig, where we stayed 11 nights. The Hotel does everything really well and we would recommend the hotel very much, but we would recommend a room with an ocean/beach view. We upgraded our room because the room at the back of the hotel was a bit dark. From there on out, it was perfect. The rooms/hotel is very clean, the personell is very nice and professional, the breakfast is great in offer as well as quality and the location to the beach/center is very good.

As mentioned, the room not at the front side are a bit dark. In addition, the bathroom could use a refurbishment, although complete and working well.

Location is great. Close to everything and shuttle is provided to go to the beach. They also provide beach towels but the first day they are free and then they charge to get fresh beach towels. Breakfast is great as they serve a few local specialties.

Bathrooms need a little of upgrade. What I was not really happy with is the air conditioning in the room. It never got cool enough to get a good night sleep. It was really hot for the two weeks that we stayed there and air conditioning is a must for the small rooms.

The location was very central and close to all amenities and not to mention the amazing views. The hotel was lovley, and the staff was very helpful, especially Francesco in particular, who helped us sort out transportation and gave us information on nearby locations.

Location - First, I came to Castellammare del golfo with my Wife to do some Family history discovery (Italian Heritage). So the location of the hotel was prime for us to walk right into the city. There is parking right out front is free (left my car for all 5 days), but they also offer offsite parking for a daily fee. Amenities- Free shuttle to the beach. Continental Breakfast. Daily housekeeping. Staff - very friendly, easy to ask questions through WhatsApp.

Good location, near the sea and historical center of town. Simple, but nice hotel.

The breakfeast was very poor. Everyday the same. Noisy street. We can not open the window in the night. Pizza bar under the balcony.

Location was perfect and the area is quiet, yet close to restaurants. Free parking in front of hotel. Good selection for breakfast. Room was spacious.

Although room was big, both windows overlooked staircases and walls opposite which somehow blocked natural light.
